We recently adopted our Doug from Monmouth County SPCA. Now, Doug is a sweetie all on his own. However -- the care he received as the shelter's longest resident no doubt contributed to his perfect transition to his new home. (We are veteran adult and senior dog adopters.) The thorough training and care by both the staff and volunteers was impressive. They are wonderful and we couldn't be happier with our happy life with DOUG!

The place is beautiful. The animals are well cared for and it's super easy to donate items to them. My 2 chihuahuas passed away and I had food, toys, clothes, blankets, heated beds, and so much more that I didn't need anymore. I dropped it all off and is now helping another animals.

The staff at this shelter were incredibly friendly, pleasurable, knowledgeable, and helpful. The adoption process went as smooth as I could’ve hoped and they went out of their way to make sure I got the puppy I wanted. Thank so much to Stephanie, Louise, Stacy, Adam, and Viki, and everyone else there.

I just wanted to give an appreciation post to the MCSPCA for letting me adopt my baby Sadie. Previously she was named Glenda. I adopted her a little over 4 years ago at age 7. She is the most loving, loyal dog I have ever had. Living our best lives together. Thank you for all you do for animals!

MRI is not going to save his or life..go to another vet
If you are looking to adopt an animal meet with the adoption counselors then bring in your dog for a meet and greet.
What town do you live in?
They have cats n dogs and puppies and kitttens
They older dogs. I think one is like 10 and the others are 7
I believe the Mommouth County SPCA is a no kill facility
Contact the shelter by phone after 10:00am
Yes. You can apply right on their website.
My dog is a Yorkie terrier. He keeps getting urinary track infections, I also need to get him neutered, and he's due for 2 of his shots, financially I do not have a lot of money. When I take him to the vet they use the love I have for him and try to charge me alot of money. It breaks my heart cause I can not afford it and he is part of the family, I really need help. Is there any programs or grants I could apply for so I can pay for his treatment.
Sometimes they have bunnies. You should call the shelter if you are looking for something that isn’t a dog or cat.
To adopt is usually $300-500
I suggest you ask them directly
Hi there - here is more information on our TNR program: https://monmouthcountyspca.org/services/community-cats-tnr-program/
Keep it till its adopted. After a certain amount of time o think they send them elsewhere
Just stop
Contact them directly or check their website. There maybe a list of items they need. Great thought!
I dont think so. The SPCA looks for donations
Hi Ann, Thanks so much for being a part of the TNR movement! We are looking forward to the day when Monmouth County has a LOT less feral and community cats due to our efforts and people like you, who care. Please call the MCSPCA's Vogel Veterinary Care Center directly for an answer to the immunization and testing 732-542-3125. We hope to see you here soon!
Hello Patricia, please contact our customer service department at 732-542-0040 for information on bringing in 2 cats.
Hi Barbara, please call our customer service center at 732-542-0040 for assistance. Thank you!
According to her age I believe is cheaper.
I know they have a vetinary practice that is separate from the SPCA in the lobby, but I'm unsure of services and prices. When I needed to have my dog put down, they did it in a nice, dignified manner
I am no expert, but I don't think any dog should be crated all day! That is not much of a life. Doggy daycare is an option for working parents. Or a dog walker can come once or twice daily. It is not cheap, but your dog will be happy to get out of his or her crate!
I would call the shelter for an appointment. There may be walk-ins at the clinic, but when I’ve worked at reception I never saw any. Everyone had appointments, and that may be the rule. But call the shelter to be sure.
Call there and ask is how I got what Information that I needed great place good vet
Call them. They're very helpful! (If you prefer text-based communication, try their Facebook or Instagram pages)
Yes
Yes they do take cats and dogs
That's a good question I don't know. I would suggest calling them directly. They are very nice at the spay/neuter clinic. Have a good day..!!
They shouldn’t because most of the dogs that end up in shelters come from irresponsible breeders
Yes they have a spay and neuter clinic that give them all their shots and spays and neuters. They will even pay for some other surgeries of the dog requires it
You should call them. You will get right through. I got my 2 kittens there and initial shots were included. But I do think you can take it there cheaper anyway. Good luck!
Lots. You have to visit and see which one is best for you.
No they are really wonderful go and adopt a dog or cat please
Their website says: Additionally, I would like to address the issue of whether or not we are considered a “No Kill” shelter. Under state regulations, if a shelter has under a 10% euthanasia rate, they are considered a “No Kill” shelter. The Monmouth County SPCA, for many years has always maintained a very low euthanasia rate. Last year, over 5000 animals came through our doors and we saved approximately 95% of them with a euthanasia rate at around 5%. So yes, we could be considered a “No Kill” shelter, but we do not like using that term because it is very misleading. We are an “Open Admission” shelter, so therefore we accept animals into our shelter under any medical or behavioral condition. The Monmouth County SPCA will only euthanize an animal for medical or behavioral reasons and never for space.
No, it is not a no-kill shelter. They do not use this term because it is inaccurate. According to their director: https://monmouthcountyspca.org/message-executive-director/ "...we do not like using that term because it is very misleading. We are an “Open Admission” shelter, so therefore we accept animals into our shelter under any medical or behavioral condition. The Monmouth County SPCA will only euthanize an animal for medical or behavioral reasons and never for space."
Yes i has my 3 cats spay low cost 30.00 dollars also shot too very good
I got a beagle from there but its hit or miss... You could always tell them that you are looking for something specific And they could let you know when they get it. Or possibly they could aquire one for you...
No
