Beautiful campground. I went to the South. All campsites are huge! Some pit and some flush toilets. No shower. Less than half mile walk to the lake. They always have fireworks every 4th of July. Please support local businesses if you're in the area.

Busy on weekends. Kids have no respect for fishing. Rocks hard on feet for swimming (bring water shoes). Great view! Not much parking. (Weekdays is plenty of parking).

Was there last weekend. It was 18.00 a night. Plenty of shade an clean.
North Side of Almanor Campgrounds is open. Its semi busy but if you're going up on a Sunday afternoon you should be good. I was told there are not plans to open the South Side anytime soon
Closes mid-Sept. May have closed earlier this yr due to a major fire.

There are showers in a few locations, contact the Lake Almanor ranger station and they'll tell you precisely where they are.
The campground is about 1/10th ish of a mile from lake. The first sites as you enter would be closest.
You need to buy a sun shower.
