First time with an issue. My wife had fried chicken which to say the least was well done. As a side my wife and I both had biscuits, both could have been used as a puppy treat to clean their teeth. We showed the waitress, which by the way was extremely sweet and offered to make our dinner better. We chose not to replace the puppy treats, but did get a chicken breast to go. ( note: the burnt one was left fully in tact). The waitress went to speak with the manager about a possible bill adjustment. The manager approved 1 dessert on the house to make our experience better. We accepted the small slice of pie with a store value of $5.00. We don't make a habit of complaining, so to do so was out of the norm for us. We certainly hope this was an isolated issue.

This is a great spot in Gordonsville that has an open indoor space and a lovely outdoor space. On our most recent trip we got the Beer Cheese appetizer which has a delicious soft pretzel, crunchy pretzels, apples and carrots with a large pot of delicious beer cheese. One of the best in the area. I ordered a few vegetarian side items and really enjoyed the cheesy grits, biscuit with apple butter and mac n cheese. My boyfriend got a fried chicken boat with 4 pieces, fries and slaw. Was a huge amount of food and we were both stuffed. One day maybe I'll save room for dessert but it's hard when the food is so good! Highly recommend!

Fairly, it takes several trips to an eatery to give a meaningful review. As that is the case now, I must say, it is just an "old fashioned", laid back, meet friends kinda place! A family night out place, in a slightly rustic setting. Spacious, dining nicely separated from the bar area. Well serviced, with a friendly staff. All that's great, but the food? Well the menu is not extensive, as is understandable for a small town restaurant, but in my trips with my wife and friends, not one of us was less than delighted with the quality and portions of the meals we selected. For a local night out, it is unsurpassed. Nice environment, great eats, interesting custom brews, and lots of familiar faces. All the boxes are checked, it won't disappoint!

Loved the beer and the atmosphere here. The staff was super kind, friendly, and helpful. My favorite beer today was probably the "Family Recipe" Vienna Style Lager which was one of their rotating seasonals. We had the beer cheese, the parm …

Questions & Answers

We arrived at 8 on a Saturday summer evening to find you are not serving dinner since you close an hour from then. You can’t make 2 dinners within a half hour? We were very disappointed. If you close at 9 you serve till 9. Then close After.

They are very weird about this We were told that the chef leaves so they only serve apps more or less until close for the drinking crowd. Your experience may differ, but for us it was 2 hours before close they told us that.

I don't believe indoors. Maybe in the outdoor seating?
