Wish you could give less than 1. Traveled from Illinois to Virginia and very much looking forward to seeing this. Website says open, voicemail says open however chained up parking lot which we crossed anyway to knock however no-one was there at all. Went to ask at a building near the street and was told by their staff that the place is only open randomly. Very disappointed.

Fantastic civil war era museum. The building was a 'Hotel' and a receiving hospital for confederate wounded. Extensive collections of artifacts and information on the facility and local area. You need at least an hour to see everything and well worth the modest entry fee. A must see if you're around the Gordonsville area.

Hi Pat, We have no plans to take down the Chessie exhibit at this time. Come by and check it out! Thank you, Tracy
The Exchange Hotel was a delight for us history fans, the Tastee-Freez does a nice burger and the Horton Winery nearby is wonderful and not to be missed.
