7 years I have been going here . It's beautiful, I know there hasn't been much rain. The boat landing needs work! Couldn't launch boat, had load up and leave

Late September possibly early October 2019 - never made it all the way to the campground, but close to it, and I was in a well equipped Toyota Tacoma 4x4. The road was wet, muddy, and slick in many spots - including near the bottom about a mile or so from the campground. It was so wet and rutted out that I turned around at that point. I wasn't chancing getting stuck in such a remote area. More rain was in the forecast, and if I had got stuck there, I may not seen anyone for days. It was a slippery, narrow, twisting road with hairpin corners, fairly steep climbs, decents, and an occasional washout along the edge of the road (a steep dropoff). The road is supposedly maintained by the CMR on the CMR access portion, but some areas lacked any gravel at all. It seemed like the road doesn't get maintained very well, or not very often. Devil's Creek campground is located in a very beautiful place on fort peck reservoir in the missouri breaks. But be warned, I can see just about anyone getting into serious trouble on the road, specifically if it is wet, and even worse if they are pulling a trailer of any kind. I would consider the majority of the road to be a one way road. If someone is driving out while you are driving in - that will likely get complicated even if it is dry. Perhaps I seen the road at its worst. IDK. I hope to make it back there some day. It was a very scenic and beautiful place.
