I was looking for convenient key duplication at a hardware store and was surprised when they said there was one in Bed Bath and Beyond. I went in looking for the key machine and the pro to run it, but when I found a vending machine, I was skeptical and hesitant, but decided to give it a shot anyway. I had actually just called "to see if they were open" and I got a person right away and they said there was a location nearby, told me it was in the Bed and Bath, and offered me a 25% off coupon for the phone call (which I forgot to use). I made two key copies and they said the 3rd was free. I figured why not, got 3 keys for $15. When they came out, they looked a little funky. I had to rub the keys against one another to get a metal shaving or two off. They key layout looked slightly different from my key. I was skeptical that they would work. But when I got home to try it, all 3 keys worked exactly as well as the original, which the duplicate my landlord kept did not (presumably done the traditional way). I was impressed and satisfied. I would use this service again and recommend others try it.
