Had a hard time finding insurance for a mobile home until I found American Traditions. They've been great and their rates are really good. I definitely recommend them!

Our home was hit with a Tornado in Fort Myers January 16, 2022. Our home was hit hard and damages severe. We contacted American Traditions as instructed. An assessor, Paul, was out 48hrs later. He was excellent. It did take 10days for him to submit his findings, but he did have MANY other homes to assess from this Tornado. I was assigned an "agent" to handle our case. MULTIPLE calls to no avail. Nothing. The "claim adjuster" I would get each time I called, Efriam, was beyond rude and basically a miserable man who should seek a diff profession. BUT, one day I called and got someone different! His name was Derrick. I don't know where we would be if it weren't for him and his next actions. He went the extra mile, went outside the box, and contacted his supervisor Valorie with my situation(s). She responded immediately. Valorie listened and took great concern over what I had been thru and was going to fix it. She in turn contacted her "boss" Mr. Ted Jerger. The VP of the company. I had an immediate phone call by him as well, and went through everything again with him. Much to my surprise, he was as sympathetic, compassionate and genuinely unhappy at what I had gone through. He would see that such a thing would not happen again. He took my claim and I was to deal only with him. Gave me his personal phone # and email. He issued a check right there and then to be processed. He would continue to follow up with our case and I was to contact him for any and all questions or issues. Though skeptical at first, after what I went through the past week in phone calls with no outcome or answers, Mr. Jerger and his company did what he said they would do. Over the next 3 weeks, checks were issued, follow up done, questions answered often within hours of being asked, and our home was now able to get restoration initiated and contractors hired. Mr. Jerger and the others involved here, Derrick, Valorie, Megan and Deja(spelling) made what started out as a very bad experience because of one miserable man, into an experience with a company that really does go the extra mile and really want to help get families back on their feet. There will always be at least one miserable person who sees their job as just that. A job with a paycheck. But, the majority rules here for caring, knowledgeable and compassionate people of this company. We will be forever grateful to American Traditions and wish more companies would learn from them. With our restoration now in progress, my communication with this outstanding company is decreasing, but, Mr. Jerger has made it very clear. Contact them anytime, any day. . They are there to help. When I needed a new roof after a Florida storm, they were fast, attentive, and in constant contact. IO got a check within a week of getting the new roof. Highly recommend!

Poor customer service. We were with them for 6 years. We were notified that they were dropping us even though we had never submitted a claim. Once we were notified, we got a roof inspection to have our roof replaced since our house is 16 years old and more than 20 houses in our neighborhood have received full roof replacements. I know because I have worked from home since the beginning of the pandemic. The initial roofing company said we needed an entire new roof which I kept my expectations reasonable. The insurance company sent out their "independent contractor" but I did not hear back initially. I received a voicemail from the insurance adjuster assigned to me that I was to receive an entire new roof replacement. I called him back and had the conversation with him telling me again that I am going to get a new roof. Then he goes out on leave and I have to follow up multiple times to get a call back because no one was covering his cases and they were not actively reassigning until people called. When I get someone on the phone, the newly assigned adjuster said we only needed a repair of 5 shingles. No one knows why my original adjuster told me I was getting a new roof. I am told by a Sr. insurance adjuster that my roof is in good condition and there is only a need to replace 5 shingles. I got the repair scheduled. The roofing company (Turn Key Roofing) hired by ATIC comes to repair the roof. Once he finishes, he tells me that he replaced the 3 shingles (not 5) he found and inspected the roof and nothing else needed to be replaced. I question the 3 vs 5 shingles and he says that he could not find any other issues. So that proves that Turn Key Roofing does not communicate with their employees either. He then tells me to think about getting my roof replaced in the near future since the roof is getting older! When I called ATIC back after the repair, they said they do not replace old roofs and there needs to be 25% or more damage to justify a roof replacement. We tried being responsible home owners to get things fixed ahead of time before it becomes an issue. So, what I understood from that is that I cannot be proactive in taking care of my home and would have to wait until my roof is significantly damaged and see leaks coming through to justify a replacement. So much for trying to handle things before there is a problem. The lack of information, communication, and transparency was disappointing. The lack of service and care was expected after I had to be the one to follow up. I will never recommend this company to anyone.
