A place somewhat hidden in a neighborhood setting. Easy walk in to the water area. Found numerous trails branching off and had I not had my mountain bike with me I would have explored more. (bikes are not allowed on the trails here apparently). Overall a nice place to hike around when the weather is hot. Numerous benches in the canopied paths, give you a reprieve from the killer heat.

Very nice trails to walk. My dog and I love walking this. It connects to the Desoto trail as well. A good walk.

This is a great place to learn about history, wildlife, estuary, fishing and fun! The protected environment, benches and picnic tables make the nature trail an easy walk. I would love to bring my stand up paddle board or a kayak when the weather is warmer. It is somewhat of a hidden gem and connects to the DeSoto Park seamlessly, which is why I included some of the signage from the National Park Service. Most people were mindful of social distancing abd wearing masks. I look forward to taking my grandchildren for a nature walk. I think it will be an interesting adventure for them!

I volunteered at a Bioblitz at Riverview Pointe Preserve with Selby Botanical Gardens. This small preserve connects to Desoto National Memorial land nearby, including a shared trail system. Blink and you’ll miss this preserve, which is basically a small parking lot off the road. But we discovered healthy biodiversity and some very beautiful plants that are unusual to find in the area. Seems like a great place to take a daily constitutional (walk).
