Amazing experience from start to finish. They got me in last year for an emergency. Dr. High smith is down to earth and very friendly. His diagnosis/plan/treatment were easy to understand and follow. The staff is friendly and make you feel like they are taking care of their own. Highly recommend.

The beauty of the office actually caught me off guard. I was thinking “the probably do a lot of Botox and prettifying stuff here” and it’s not really a medical office. But, Dr Highsmith is fantastic. I had a Sebaceous Cyst on my back that was infected and very large. Once I was in the office he came right in, explained fully what he would do and they started immediately. No waiting and giving me time to get nervous, which was perfect. He’s nice, personable, professional and really good at his job! 5 stars!

Dr. James Highsmith is the best Dermatologist in Florida. He is a very caring and genuinely down-to-Earth person. He is trained in Mohs Surgery. I had squamous cell cancer in my inner ear. During the surgery, after each removal of tissue and while I waited, he examined the tissue for cancer cells. One slice at a time to minimize damage. James got it all with clean margins and you could hardly tell I even had a procedure. I didn't want a big crater in my ear. The doctor, the technology and highly attentive staff are all best of class. I've writen maybe 3 reviews in my life and I'm 56. Dr. Highsmith is the best Dermatologist and a great person.

Dr. Highsmith is amazing! He has helped me tremendously with my skin issues, is very thorough and takes the time to answer all my questions. The staff is friendly and the office is very clean. Highly recommend them for all your dermatology needs!

Dr James Highsmith, MD, MS: Bachelor of Science degree was earned at the University of South Florida in Education and then he became a certified Hillsborough County school teacher in 1998. His next degree was from the Physician Assistant program in 2002 where he served as Vice President. After earning a Master’s Degree from the University of Florida, he returned back to Tampa to practice internal medicine as a Physician Assistant in 2002 and began practicing dermatology in 2003 at the James Haley VA hospital. He then went back to academia in 2006 at USF where he earned his MD degree in 2010. Internship was also completed in Tampa followed by Derrmatology Residency in New York City. His fellowship was completed in Birmingham, Alabama for additional training in all dermatologic procedures such as cosmetics, peels, lasers, and Mohs Micrographic Surgery.
