A truly wonderful orchid nursery not too far from Orlando if you are ever in town on vacation. As others mentioned, plan to spend more time rather than less here, as Smiley has quite an expansive collection and is happy to help you find a plant that will suit you well. If you are an orchid lover who enjoys fragrance like me, Smiley’s is doubly worth it. She has many lovely vandas as most Florida growers do, but also a great variety of many other types of orchids too. Her prices are very very reasonable and I felt quite comparable to most other orchid nurseries I’ve been to. I was happy as I got to pick out some great plants, smell some ‘legendary’ orchids like the Vanda Mimi Palmer, and just chat with a very very sweet lady. Smiley is an exceptionally nice woman and a vendor I’m happy to support whenever I happen to be in town. Plus with all the flowers like in the photos below, how can you not come back?
