Amazing and magical, such a diverse walk, definitely worth it. Best to go right after dry season as most areas would be under water.

Got out today on a day off with my mom and went to hike this trail. Could tell from the parking lot that it would still be wet in areas. Ventured out for about a mile and came upon flooded trails so we turned around. Will definitely go back in a couple months when it's drier and we can do the whole trail. When we first started off there was a huge family of turkeys on the trail. Beautiful and well marked and maintained trails, so peaceful to be in nature. Can't wait to go back in the drier months. Worth the drive 🚗

I visited the preserves in the early April. The 2.6 mile trail was dry and well marked. A great place to be in the nature. My car was the only one in the parking lot, walking through the thick woods, all you heard is the bird singing and grass swinging in the wind, very peaceful and inspirational.

Pretty basic trail system, not much wildlife the trails go thru various ecosystems like cypress swamp, pine hammocks and open fields. Part of the trail was flooded but I trek thru it to finish it. Entrance is near fire ranger post.

Yes, on a leash
No it's partially flooded and hog damage has made it even hard to walk. The entrance is designed so it doesn't allow bikes in either.
$2/vehicle, but fee is being waived right now
