There is a free diagnostic in my shop. I would first test your unit with linux on one of my chips. If sounds works then you know for sure it is software or speakers outside if it does not then you know hardware. Also check bios to make sure it was not disable in bios. After these steps if software try to creat a new user name with admin if works sound should work malware does not disable sound.. they usually try to have you heare ads. so its most likely a simple software glitch or harware driver.

5 Below. It just opened up near market basket. It is a bluetooth keyboard. They are only 5 bucks! Instead of paying the usual 30 dollars. Save your money and buy 2 of them. Also pick up a Bluetooth speaker for 5 bucks at 5 below. Setup the bluetooth to Amazon and the police scanner software and am, fm radio play it through the wireless speaker. You can shut your tv off and now at 10 dollars have a radio, police scanner using only 5 watts of energy.
