I used to go to LA Fitness in Holmdel since I’ve moved to the area, 2018. Since then, pre pandemic, things were never right… equipments broken, facility filthy, and staff mostly rude (with a few exceptions), not even comment on always hearing people who got their belongs stolen. Once the facility reopened for the public, I had my membership on hold, pretty much donating them $10.95/month since June/July 2021. A few times I have tried to cancel the contract for good, but Managemnt convinced me not to. Early February (2022) I went in person requested to cancel the hold completely and left my information to a staff member who was going to have the manager to do it for me, unfortunately I didn’t think about getting the guy’s name and follow up since I was ready to be out of the country for a significant amount of time due to an emergency family event. I returned recently and realized they still charged me the membership freeze since February. I tried to resolve it with the branch manager, but she couldn’t do much about it. She had me contact the headquarters. The gentleman who spoke to me about the issue didn’t even try to see if there was anything they could do to reimburse me, so they have basically been stealing me since February. Not surprise since my last roommate also had an issue with them still charging her for months after she cancelled her membership. At the end of the day, the amount won’t make much difference in my pocket, but I can tell how desperate they are to squeeze people for their money, meanwhile not investing in fixing the facility and treat their members like garbage. Horrible costumer service! Gross facility! I will never join this gym again!!!!

Ilya gave a tour in under 20 minutes, signed family up, and answered questions to the best of his ability. The facility itself is clean and has a lot of options. It’s a great gym with great managers

Just signed my son up for a membership with Jack. He gave us a tour and was very knowledgeable about the equipment and was so patient with all our questions. Jack made us feel comfortable and explained the package options in detail. My husband and i told him we were going to sign up with him in April. Amazing gym/spa. They offer so much! Can’t wait to be part of the LA Fitness family.
