Repeatedly fails to process my automated payments even after I set them up by phone with a representative, then leaves a voicemail with a threat to disconnect my services. Does not send my bills to the email I request they be sent to. Charged me for a month of service at a residence I no longer occupy, on an account that was closed and I could not access to make a payment on. If I could have oscar the grouch handle my utilities, I would, because at least he is honest about being garbage.

No sense of customer service or company responsibility.(Avoid speaking with Kendra at all costs. Zero assistance, and your to blame no matter the circumstances). The best thing that could happen for the people of NH would be to have this company fall into bankruptcy and vanish.

Absolutely terrible company to have to deal with! They never send their bills out my family has three accounts with them and none of them ever get billed properly or on time you’re far more likely to get a disconnect notice then you are a bill. What a joke! It is worth switching to propane! I’m so done with these guys.

GREEDY COMPANY -- ACCIDENTAL OVERPAYMENT NIGHTMARE!! I'm on disability, get 1 check a month, and mail 2 payments on the same day -- rent and Liberty Utilities (because Liberty Utilities, UNLIKE Eversource, Verizon, Comcast, etc., charges several dollars to pay online). Apparently, I accidentally filled in my rent amount on my check to Liberty Utilities -- AND THEY CASHED IT, even though it was for about 30 times what I owe, and in 4 and a half years I've only ever paid the balance due. They overdrew my bank account and told me it'll take 3 or 4 weeks to refund my money -- the money it took them a few days to take from me. They had no reason to believe I intended to pay this much. They told me payments are processed by computer, no people are involved, they credited my account. People program computers, and computers are really good at recognizing patterns and comparing numbers. They could have contacted me first. They had no suggestions for how I'm to obtain food, gas, etc., until I get additional income more than 3 weeks from now. I REALLY hope I don't get a ridiculous reply to this review from a company that clearly cares very little about its customers -- and probably its employees -- because they're far too busy nickel and diming them trying to make money for investors and shareholders. While business growth is based on profit rather than ecological sustainability, the response from Liberty Utilities is, sadly, about what's expected from a short-sighted industry that cares so little about clean air and water, climate, wildlife, and land use. 10/2 UPDATE: I was contacted today by someone expressing the hope that, since my "issue" has since been resolved "in a very timely fashion", I'd consider editing the above review I originally posted. Here's the reply I sent to that: "Really?? Are you kidding? Your company only 'resolved' it after I contacted the Public Utilities Commission, spent MANY hours on the phone with people at your company, physically traveled to a bank branch to get a letter saying the check wouldn't be reversed (which was obvious once it was endorsed and posted), scanned it in and emailed it to you, and I drove to Londonderry to pick up the refund check which wasn't even for the correct amount because it had also been reduced by an additional amount which I hadn't even been billed for yet and which wasn't due until October 4th. It took another couple of weeks to get a 2nd refund check. This whole thing has taken a lot out of me and should / could have been handled very differently from the start. I'm thankful my bank was able to waive my overdraft fee, I deposited the refund check just in time to avoid further sustained overdraft charges. I'm convinced the employees I dealt with in Londonderry did what they could to help me, and were as pleasant as they could be for the most part, but everything I wrote in my review is true and I stand by it. Your energy might be better spent looking into ways to avoid putting any other customers thru an experience similar to mine in the future. It is possible."

Questions & Answers

How do I see a gas bill?

Douglas Ford | Sep 5, 2020
Liberty | Sep 5, 2020

Hi Douglas, thank you for your question. If you are a paperless bill customer, you can see your gas bill online. If not, you would need to contact our customer service dept and request it. You can visit a walk-in center to do that or call our customer service number. Google won't let me post our contact info here but you can find it on our website. Please let me know if you need anything else.

Can you pay a bill here in cash?
