Lack of communication from management, not helpful at all when it came to me trying to refund my bank account being charged for years without utilizing their services. No code for moral or ethics when it came to that or any type of empathy. Planet fitness (corporate or franchise) needs to have a fail safe in place to notify people that they are still be charged for when they haven’t checked into a location for months and months. They can’t make an exception for me to help me out but they can make an exception for another policy they have, for example: planet fitness member cancellation policy states that you have to do it in person or by mail but when I called and complained about them still charging me they had no problem canceling my membership over the phone. They made an exception for their policy. But I want a refund for all the months I’ve been charged since I haven’t utilize their services in years and they “can’t” do that… what a joke I haven’t checked into a planet fitness in yearsssssss and they still charged me monthly. They won’t do anything about it because that’s free money for them. I was told my account was closed but what I wasn’t told was that my account was still open at another location. Jay, the manager I spoke with, seemed extremely inexperienced in customer service and reluctant to not have a conversation with me over the phone. Avoiding the situation at all cost. No need to reply to this review because there is nothing that can be said and done to correct it.

I have been a member of Planet Fitness in Belle Isle for many years and have found all of my exercise needs met in a pleasant atmosphere. My wife and I look forward to meeting our ongoing fitness goals at the gym.

Clean, cool air with fans, friendly staff, wide variety of equipment, not too full when I go, most all of the equipment is in working condition when I go. Wish it were 24/7, but oh well. It’s nice that they offer drinks in case I forget mine that day, but I do wish there were more variety. “Planet Fitness” water and 2-3 kinds of regular Gatorade just aren’t up my alley, personally. Would be nice to see other water brands, or vitamin water, protein shakes, etc. No real complaints, though.

Really upset just got a black card membership because the 24/h times were perfect because I work so late. and a few days later you guys changed your closing times DRASTICALLY. If you guys paid your employees more you wouldn’t be so short staffed. If the times stay I’ll most likely be going to the crunch next door. Other than that the gym is good staff if friendly.
