Great teachers who skillfully share modern Buddhism insights and meditation for the (too) busy modern world. I have met many like-minded friends here from many walks of life. I am a happier and more effective person in all realms of my life thanks to attending classes here. Something for everyone.

Kind and helpful Buddhist meditation for people like me who do better with a little guidance and nudge :)

Look online for class times. Tuesday and Wednesday night are good introductory classes. There's a suggested donation, but if you can't afford it, no worries! meditationinrhodeisland.org/events-calendar/

Is Kampala a special sect of Buddhism? Is it related to The ravage or Mahayana?

Buddhism, like all traditions in every religion, has sects. These are aften called "traditions" or "lineages". I.e. A rehashing of a teaching by an enlightened master. Kadampa Buddhism is a sect of Mahayana Buddhism, not theravada, and teaches the Madhyamika, as is common in all four tibetan schools. As an aside, of the four schools, it is a Gelug tradition.
