Excellent employees! Can't say enough good things about them! Vegetables don't last. Watch the bags of onions. A lot are brown in the middle. A lot of the price checker scanners don't work. The scales in the produce dept seem to be out of paper a lot. Otherwise a good place to shop.

Grocery store ... what else can I say. Clean and organized although with a different layout than most of the other Big Ys I have shopped at.

Great shopping experience. They have some good deals. My cashier was very pleasant.

Love supporting this great local business! I like that there's an option to self-checkout as some people (not me!) like it. What I REALLY appreciate is that unlike another certain large "local" (foreign held) grocery chain, Big Y continues to have a sufficient number of cashiers on duty. Please don't change- self-checkout is not for everyone!

No pharmacy, yes to curbside pick up.
They do not. You'd have to go to a specialty market somewhere in Springfidld or Holyoke. I don't know which store, but I know it's one or the other. You could always ask if they could get a shipment in. I've not worked at a Big Y, but I have worked in other grocery stores. Little known thing is, you can ask for specific products if they can manage it. They'll list it on the shelf as a temporary product or if you specifically ordered it and you want it all, then they'll inform you that it's at the store if you leave your number or email.
Always accepting applications takes awhile for the application though. Had to do mine at the library since its computer application.
Why did they stop carrying "x"? I too have had a few things discontinued that I liked. The truth of the matter is they carry what sells. They look at tin's of data and the fact of the matter is that if its not selling as fast as something else and they need room, they cut it. If you can't live without something in particular I would recommend calling or emailing their corporate support line. I did once and the reply I gotb was quick and courteous and I found out that the manufacturer of what I wanted was having supply issues but they assured me that they were working on it.
