Vet techs and everyone else there extremely nice, let us see available cats/kittens/Guinea pigs. Only problem is rude Karen at front desk that gave us so much attitude when asking for certain kittens. Looked at us like we were speaking a completely different language and answered with flippant responses. I believe that the people at the front desk should be just as welcoming as the rest of the staff; she ruined the whole experience for us.

Have had my little guy Oliver for a year now. It took about two months on wait list to be able to to get a small dog though well worth the wait and paperwork. It is expensive as many are shipped up from the south and go through quarantines etc to guarantee they are healthy and small dogs are a wait anywhere in MA. $550 adoption fee though had all his shots etc (those annual shots are expensive with a vet otherwise anyway so overall the price works out). I had been told Oliver was not housebroken as per foster though it only took me three weeks and some google research to set him right from what must have been adjustment fears etc so if you have the time and patience don’t be afraid to get one that may have a little issue. I would give five stars for the kind staff, I got lots of time to meet him in a little side room and really feel out his personality and the facilities are nice, only concern is the cost is prohibitive to many wonderful potential dog parents.. it was a big impact on my budget though don’t regret it for a moment.

Yes but its first come fist surve so go put your app in
There is a give up fee ...but call to see if there is room
I'm honestly not positive but in hopes it is for the people who need to take shelter there.
$425 if the dog is from a local rescue. If the dog was transported in, there is an additional $125 fee. The dog will have been fully treated and labs completely performed by a professional veterinarian. All shots will be up to date including medication, such as heart worm, flea and tick, distemper, kennel shots etc. Dogs are also put through tests to see if they are passive with other dogs and around people. Adoption paperwork must be completed for background check.
You could also speak with Odies Place in Dartmouth
Not sure, call them they are great.
You should probably give him a chance at living out his life at home where hes comfortable 🤷♂️
I would contact the Humane Society. I'm sure your donation would be greatly appreciated.
I had to call them after 3days and they informed me i was denied!!Very choosy who they'll adopt to. Prob.deny more applications then they approve. Denied me a kitten because i treated my dog at petco pet clinic instead of vet. He was loved and cared for for 14 years a forever puppy very active. Passed on 5/1/20 due to tumor deep in back leg. I had planned on a cat adoption, bought everything i would need for it then found out they denied me. Very disappointed in them. I had a cat for 15 yrs. And a jack russell for 14 yrs. They were loved, cherished and didn't want for anything. They were my world. For them to judge me really upset me, because that kitten was so lonely and depressed and more ignored there, and to be denied a loving home just because of where i brought my pet for care?
Not sure Linda but I doubt it. Call them to find out 🙂
You can go to your vets and get it free
Sorry no, I dont see it on any of their paperwork. They open at 1230.
16 years old. They're almost always taking volunteer applications.
http://www.mslaw.edu/the-shadow-fund/ Contact Diane through her email. Tell her your story and she may be able to help. Good luck
They are not vets its just a shelter for homeless or strays animals
Absolutely
Hi, we cannot place dogs with a bite history, for the same reason an owner chooses to not keep a dog that bites. We cannot assume that liability or put anyone else at risk, to be hurt. The second part of your question, as an owner you have the option to receive a private cremation. The cost of euthanasia and a private cremation for a dog over 100 pounds is $225.00. As a consumer, you are more than welcome to look around at other prices with different organizations, but that is the price with us. It is the cost of the services that were requested.
Not sure
I use "Spay USA" they have 100's of vets that they use.
