The hotel would have been okay had the carpet been replaced and there wasn't such a musty smell in the room. The duvet covers and duvet pillow covers smelled like they hadn't been washed in forever. The sheets were clean. At least. The price wasn't bad,.. but as I said they definitely need to clean the place better and definitely need to take care of the duvet covers that people are sleeping on and under while there. The staff were nice people and were helpful with recommendations on where to eat and weather.

Building is old but you're basically renting a full apartment. The room I rented had a full kitchen, complete with range and full sized fridge, a full bathroom, and a spacious sleeping area. There were extra safety measures taken such as a key pad entry in order to access the rooms which, as a solo traveler, I appreciated. The staff were kind and helpful and they did everything they could to accommodate my stay. The price isn't too bad and it's much better than other places in the area and you get more with the full kitchen and bath. I will definitely stay here again when I come back.

Stay here for 5 days. The room was very nice compared to what I was expecting. They have old keys and the door access is something to get used to. I loved the kitchen area and they supplied plates and glasses! I did find rolling papers in one of the cabinets so I don’t what to think about that. They also didn’t change our sheets while we were there. Overall a very serviceable budget place to stay!

A little rough around the edges, as it is kind of an old building but the service is excellent. You can see that the staff are trying their best to help you in whatever way possible. I got a fan immediately when I asked for it and the staff helped store my luggage too in the lobby the next day after checkout. Would recommend this especially at this price point in Alaska.
