Not a good start came to get checked in been waiting in pain in the waiting room for over an hour. I can feel my tumor getting bigger while I wait in here. I can only hope the quality of Care gets better or I am a goner. Well, this place just seems to get better. I had a appointment with the surgeon asked for something to manage the pain for the 9 days before my surgery was told to go to a pain clinic. So what I get is lying in bed all day in pain with no quality of life until my surgery. And while I do I stress out that after the surgery he says the same thing if I am in pain go to the pain clinic. I thought this place would give me total cancer care but that is not the case. I feel that going to a pain clinic is unacceptable. Sitting in another waiting room. No sympathy.

I am actively going through stage four renal failure along with renal cancer and thyroid failure. The doctors and nurses here treat you like you are a part of their family. They have talk to me about every procedure and made me understand everything that is going to happen to me and itβs happening to me as they schedule new procedures. They have decided that itβs best for me to be on chemo and other meds at this time and the team of doctors that I have all work together and stay in communication. Iβve had to have my left kidney removed due to a mass that shut down the kidney and almost killed me. The team of doctors in Moffitt saved my life that day and are still continuing to make sure I stay alive. Highly recommended facility

I came to urgent care here, and had a horrible experience. From rude nurses who are inconvenienced by their job, to a friendly but not thorough doctor, to basic mistakes by the CT scan nurse that left me sicker than when I got there, to a vein so badly blown that I was left with a baseball sized black bruise on my arm for going on two weeks, to a complete lack of compassion..it was a six hour nightmare. I left with none of my concerns addressed, and I was so worn down that I just wanted to get out of there. They wanted me to leave too, they brought in the paperwork and told me to just walk out, and not a single nurse would even look at me as I left, because my husband voiced concern over the absolute lack of any urgency to even try to help me. The nurses wouldn't even come to our room for hours. I've had so many issues at Moffitt with my care, mistakes being made, but this is by far the worst of it. I would never return here, I have cancer and my life is on the line, if they can't perform basic job duties correctly, I fear I'd die in their care without any recourse. I went here because I thought I'd get more personalized care, because I've been with Moffitt for my cancer journey..big mistake.

What number do I call to make appointment ? What records do I need to bring ?
Call them directly to get the correct answer !
Absolutely. Be concerned. It's nothing to play with. Make an appointment to see someone stat. One can't be to careful when it concerns your airway. Go to the ER or to a walk-in clinic. If you have no money there are usually a volunteer groups somewhere that will see you for free. the Catholic diocese would probably know a little bit about that. I hope you feel better. Good luck sincerely Turtle too
Yes.
I called Moffitt for my sister and they scheduled her within a few days.
I'm so sorry for your loss. :( My mom passed away last summer and I struggled to find any facilities that would take her unopened diapers too. In fact I still have them. Hopefully someone on here who may need them will see this!
I am a Medical Oncologist. I have dealt with Breast related abnormalities all my life. Your message was incomplete. I am not sure what you were trying to say or if you had a specific question ?
Anything that has to do with cancer, they can help, they literally saved my wifes life.
Go to website and begin the process... they are wonderful at helping you get started. I credit them with my husband's success in beating stage 3 lymphoma!
I would have to believe that you can. I have known several who done this. I also know that they care more about the patient and do their best to help who ever needs their services.
I'm not sure but if you can call the front desk they should be able to help you
I'm not sure if you need insurance. If you call the main number they should be able to let you know good luck
I don't know specifically if they do, however I would highly recommend you give him a call to see what they can do for you. I love Moffitt and everyone there the best place to go for any kind of cancer in my opinion.
Moffitt is a good place to seek help and encouragement. Hold the course!

Hey Rick have you ever been to Moffitt. There is nothing typical about Moffitt Cancer Institute..... Just saying
The best thing to do is search for Moffitt on Google Maps and then look for lodging nearby. There are several place items/ hotels near the main Moffitt campuses in Tampa.
Yes, there are several good places in the area. If you use Google Maps you will be able to find places that are close.
It depends on where their admitted to. There's a number for BMT patients but if you call their generic number im sure someone there will give you the information. Their super nice people that work there.
The social workers at Moffitt can also help. They are use to navigating the system.
Just call them
Sorry. No Spanish.
They have a DRC which stands for Direct Referral Center .So you Dr calls their on call Doctor to see if you can be seen right away.
Go to: https://my.moffitt.org and sign up for a login.
