Receptionist, nurse and Doctor very kind, but I'm since 4AM with my 8 month baby here, more than 1h30m waiting to do a urine exam on her. the worst experience I've ever had in a hospital, it's a baby crying, they need to improve a lot in the management of this emergency

Over crowded, triage is the worst, 80% of patients wait over 7 hrs to just get vitals. Why do they not triage people to urgent care, that do not need ER services....many sitting here are walking, talking and ordering food. Why can they not go to urgent care?

My daughter attends Union College, which is just a few blocks away from Ellis Hospital. This past winter, she had gotten a severe sore throat. Unable to get any sort of medication from the college health services, she went to a local walk-in clinic and after did a second tele-visit. Both of which were costly and useless. Her last resort was to go to the emergency room at Ellis. She walked in, and was immediately walked into the back....the PA asked her what was wrong as they were walking back, and she said severe sore throat. PA said, let me look at it real quickly, so that you don't have to sit here waiting all day. He looked and prescribed a steroid, and she was on her way. A few weeks later, I received a bill in the mail for $1,144. She was charged over a thousand dollars for literally walking into the emergency room and walking out again ten minutes later. No tests, not ever an actual doctor attended to her. The hospital informed me that she was charged the minimum charge for an emergency room visit. If I wanted to dispute the bill, I needed to call the insurance company, not them. Then they informed me of a hospital advocate number I can call. I have called and left messages several times over the past few days. Zero response. This hospital is an absolute disgrace....avoid at all costs!!!

O stars! Lazy staff. Terrible service. Long wait times for any test results or information. Spend 6 hours waiting for them to let us know they don't know what the issue is and if we wanna try another test. To then wait 3 more hours for the next test. Staff has no problem speeding up when it comes to getting the payment, then worry about your problem after and take their time. Would recommend a new name for the "emergency room".

wonder why you would poke 🤔at a sensitive subject... I belive at least half of the world is trying.. cut us all some slack.. and like what was said before YOU ARE ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR SELF AND LOVED ONES .. NO BLAM GAME
Lots of patient privacy laws.. regulations.. ..I believe you .. but there .. there to help you get through.. next time have a cell phone 💡
Wow so sorry to hear that...THAT YOU HAD TO GO THROUGH THAT they ..NO THAT NURSE SHOULD HAVE DONE BETTER..BUT A SAD REFLECTION SHE KIDDA BUT ON THEM ... shame her 😕
