My 26 year old son has been diagnosed with schizophrenia. Tonight, he became hostile and threatening towards us. We locked him out of the house letting him know that type of behavior is unacceptable. He attempted to break in by trying to break thru a back glass door. The Lady Lake Police department was called. They responded by stating that he did not qualify to be Baker Acted (even though he had been threatening towards us) and that we were welcome to call if he gets violent. We now feel helpless in trying to get him the help he needs and know that this Police department will not provide it either. Disappointed doesn't begin to describe how we feel.

Incredible. They stepped up in a huge way, so we could retrieve our daughter’s wallet that was lost the night before. Very thankful for all of their efforts.

I was involved in a minor auto accident yesterday. In a short period of time officer M. Sloane arrived where the accident occurred. She was wonderful. Clearly and politely explained what she was doing and what we had to do. She turned what could have been an angry event into to calm situation. Great police officer!
