The area is well kept, no trash laying around and the walking trail is clear, good outdoor fun here. It's a good place to bring your dog for a walk and a place to BBQ. I would have given 5 stars, but there aren't fish to catch as advertised, or atleast I don't catch much of anything. Not sure if it's because ppl fish it alot or what, but it's relaxing to say the least.

Dogs are welcome in Big Gem Park but must remain on a leash at all times. There are no campground, hotel/motel or caverns at Big Gem Park in Shenandoah, Virginia so you may have this park confused with another park.
