LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! If your looking for a beautiful waterfall to swim in go here!! A beautiful not to far walk!! In the woods so no cars just nature! Some tips- very slippery area to get into the water so be very careful. I’d even recommend bringing water shoes of some kind. In order to drive into hackers falls you drive through a golf course and keep following directions and signs, directions take you onto a very steep dirt/mud path but It’s a short path not even 5 minutes then your at the parking lot. Also this is a black bear habitat or at least that’s what the signs said so don’t leave any food out and consider bringing bear mace. Anyway enjoy your trip & leave no trace !!

Love this place. It’s an absolute gem. If you’re visiting, please keep it clean and take your trash out with you :) have a blast!!

A nice fall where you can dice in. The water is not too deep so kids can safely play there. Young lads usually climb up to the top of the fall and jump down. So far I have not seen anybody injured. Still, I wonder who would risk one’s life …

Hellavu hike to the falls. About a mile hike, worth it to hit the cool water spot. Please don't leave trash, take it with you on your way out.

No, grilling and picnicking is not allowed at Hackers Falls. You can grill at these designated Picnic Areas (no ground fires) within the park: - Bushkill Store Picnic Area - Milford Beach - Namanock Recreation Site - Smithfield Beach - Toms Creek Picnic Area - Turtle Beach - Watergate Recreation Site
Yes you can take and infant in the carrier if you are physically fit. I hiked 3 times with baby in the carrier it took about 40min to the falls and 30 back. The 1st part of hike is up hill but its wide and easy to walk. Then there is a 10min decent to the falls which is a little steep and rocky but if you take it slow its no problem. I wore hiking boots and found a wooden pole on the way. When you go swimming in hackers falls there rocks in the water are very slippery so dangerous for kids. Have fun!
Agreed; ultimately you're best off checking with a Ranger for the specifics... most of the time as long as you're not digging you can get away with it... however I do know for sure they consider removing any artifacts a crime so if that's the goal it's not worth the risk.
Absolutely
Yes both allowed. It is a hike though so make sure ur coller has wheels lol
No, you can only camp at river sites if your canoeing or kayaking. There is dingmans private campground which costs money. The only other camping is allowed off the Appalachian Trail.
Park at Raymondskill Falls parking lot and cross the street. The trail begins there.
Parking is free, and there's always enough room. The trails are on the easier side, but normally they're in good condition!
Dogs are allowed on leash except at Raymondskill trail with staircases
