Had to call the fire department to come check out a burning smell. They arrived in minutes and resolved the issue quickly. The best part was how insightful and helpful they all were. Everyone was so nice!

Is there a burn ban in Lakeland?

johnna0320 | Sep 6, 2019
Lakeland Fire Department | Sep 6, 2019

There is a year-round ban on open burning in Lakeland. Not to be confused with portions of unincorporated Lakeland. You can learn more at http://www.lakelandgov.net/departments/lakeland-fire-department/prevention/permits/ and http://www.lakelandgov.net/media/9451/open-burning-rules-final.pdf

What is the non emergency phone number of the Lakeland Fire Department if you need a lift assist and you live off of Pipkin Road?

Michelle Hill | Sep 6, 2019
Lakeland Fire Department | Sep 6, 2019

Thank you for your question. The Pipkin Rd area is located outside of the Lakeland Fire Department's service area. Emergency services in this part of unincorporated Lakeland are provided by Polk County Fire Rescue so you'll need to reach out to them for their non-emergency number. However, if you have any needs within the City of Lakeland you are welcome to call 863-834-6900.

Do they have a fire hall? Or a place to rent a room for a party? I know some so but I don’t know which ones.

Lakeland Fire Department | Sep 6, 2019

Hi Shana. We do not have any public spaces available for rent or use. All of our fire stations are open to the public for tours. if you would like to request a tour, you can do so at http://www.lakelandgov.net/departments/lakeland-fire-department/programs-and-events/requesting-a-program/. Thanks for your question.
