Informed delivery said package was delivered to PO box at 12:36pm. I arrived at Post office right before 5pm to pick up my package and it was NOT in the PO box as stated. When I inquired about it, I was told they hadn't gotten to my box number yet and was still sorting packages. I was told to wait an hour plus and I "should" receive it in the box. I understand being short staffed and backed up, but PLEASE DO NOT MARK MY PACKAGE AS DELIVERED TO PO BOX IF IT'S NOT IN THE BOX! I drove an hour from Anchorage on my daughter's birthday for this present that wasn't even there!! I couldn't wait around as I had to drive back to Anchorage for dinner reservations. Thanks a lot (NOT) for time and money wasted!!

The carriers have gotten worse. If it doesn't fit in the cluster box they won't deliver to your house sometimes. Some days you get packages delivered, some days you don't. I complained and the carrier told the post master general that they thought packages were being stolen so they didn't leave it on the porch. They didn't even make an attempt because we were home. Then the carrier left me a letter telling me I'm welcome to come talk to them and said something completely different. They said they don't have enough room on the truck so they can't deliver them and make you pick them up instead of doing their job.

Literally... the worst post office I've ever been part of. They simply won't deliver any package. Ever. Pure laziness and lack of any customer service. Do not move to Palmer you will regret it the rest of your life.

They will not deliver your package. When my Amazon gets shipped USPS I just wait a few days and call Amazon and say I haven't received my package yet. I'm sure someone at the post office ones a pawnshop to unload all thier packages. I had package tracking number scanned as delivered. The package wasn't delivered. No pink slip in the mailbox. After many hours of phone calls the package was "found." I believe the mail delivery driver planned on keeping the package. Also, the line was so long I had to pee in a bottle. In the Palmer area, you have to go to the Wasilla Post Office for passport application services. There you can get a photo taken and an application that must be completed and returned. Once submitted (all at your expense of course, approx. $135 currently), your application will take approximately 12-16 weeks to be completed. An expedited application, for another substantial fee, will take something less, allegedly. Frankly, I think it would be easier to slip into the country illegally than to get a new passport. I had an old passport and I'm still waiting for a 2nd response after my application was rejected the first time after 11 weeks.

I have went there at 8am (im on nightshift) and was able to get packages. Theres a door open to the back when u walk into main lobby and they have staff able to get boxes. :)
