In town for a short visit celebrating our daughter’s 15th birthday. BigFin popped up as one of the best seafood restaurants in the area. Dinner was absolutely amazing. The restaurant was clean, with a pleasant decor and great ambiance. Thoroughly enjoyed the visual from our corner u-shaped booth. Great variety of seafood and beef options. BigFin is a cross between elegant and casual dining. Our server (Joe) was above above average with the ability to offer many top grade food suggestions. Not disappointed at all. It was a wonderful place to celebrate. Thank you!!!

The bread and butter was amazing! And that’s probably the best thing this restaurant knows how to cook.. I don’t mind paying for an expensive restaurant if its good quality food AND good quality cooking. The seafood here is fresh, but it’s not properly cooked. I ordered the grouper piccata and everything on my plate was over cooked. Good fish is supposed to be tender and mine was dry and chewy. My asparagus was mushy instead of crisp-tender. And the leaves on top of the fish wilted which made my plate even less appetizing. This plate cost $41 and it didn’t even include a side, so the least I was expecting was a properly cooked meal. My companion ordered the seafood cioppino with pasta (it’s usually just a broth) because that’s what the server recommended. I love asking servers what to order because they know what the best plates of the house are, but this plate came full of spaghetti and barely any seafood. It cost $38 and they charged us extra for the spaghetti. Very disappointed with my experience here. If you’re a $$$ restaurant you better hold yourself to $$$ standards. Gifting them two starts because the restaurant is in a good location, the employees were nice and the seafood was high quality, but everything else was bad. Not worth all that money.

Food was very good. Only reason for 4 stars, happy hour oysters were large gulf oysters. Dinner in the main dining room was great.

Quality food, good selection of fresh seafood. Good wine list. Dynamite bread pudding. Above average Grouper. Amazing crab claws. Slooow service. Be prepared for a 3 hour dinner if you have a larger sized party. Seems like a restaurant frequented by business clientele. It didn't have a very welcoming vibe for a date location so I would recommend skipping for a personal visit and stick with the expense account.

A little nicer, but casual would probably be welcomed. Very fun and friendly place.
We sat outside at a table at the bar. Every server and bartender had on masks (worn properly) and we observed then wiping down tables, the bar and menus. Tables are spaced out.
Upscale casual.
Happy hour is only at the bar from 5-6 Monday through Saturday, and 5-9 on Sundays.
