I tried many times to get my case to go forward there's not an answer. It's so frustrating . It's seems that they don't care. I left a message in the answering box but there is a lack of communication. I live 40 Mets away. Please

I had to list one star above but that exceeds what is true. If you have a loved one you care for look elsewhere for help with anything connected to Alzheimer's. I took my wife there for help only to have our world turned upside down by a nurse practitioner, Heather Wynne Phillips. I am a retired Veterinarian with a better understanding of medicine than most. On the very first visit and no tests or exam she told my wife she should not be driving. That's 100% a quacks statement. She went on to have my wife's drivers license revoked but she took the states written tests and drivers test only to have her license for another 6 months. Now DMV wants more tests and we both have gone threw hell since that visit to see Byrd's so called medical experts. She never did see a real Doctor so I will say find anywhere to go but there.

We brought my mother to Byrd Institute and met several times with Myrna DeJesus. Each time she was very kind and compassionate with my mother. She carefully explained treatments as well as the progression of Alzheimers. My mom was diagnosed about 6 years ago and has plateau in her disease for several years. She still knows the family and still functions well. We attribute this to the care received at Byrd.

If you have a loved one. Do not bring them here they are the most uncompassionate heartless ruthless batch of doctors I have ever seen. They only conduct cognitive test which do not stand up in a court of law and then try to take people's freedom away. They will do whatever it takes to sabotage your family members dignity, freedom and life. When they are completely wrong and misdiagnosed. They will lie on the medical records make stories up and try to act like they are the state attorney or the DMV. If you are looking for help find another group this place has diplomatic sovereignty so whatever they do to sabotage the person coming in you have no recourse. They are horrible and have ruined people's life please take this advice. They diagnosed people without any lab work or scans you cannot diagnose Alzheimer's MMSE OR moca You would be better off paying good money to get an amyloid PET scan. By all means do not see the nurse practitioner there. Dangerous!
