I need to know THE CORRECT AMOUNT DUE. The customer service rep hung up on me and blocked my calls. I don't have any problems with TECO, the credit cards or the cable or cell phone companies, but every month I need to call the water company and they are not correcting the problem. I've done all I can do on my side, what's wrong with them?

This review is specifically for two employees of the Hillsborough County Water Dept. Quen Thompson and Uvonka Armstead. They are both noteably kind and professional, going the extra mile to ensure I was assisted properly (hold times are very very long when calling in, so I was expecting to be rushed due to call volume but they both took time to listen to my concerns and resolve). I just wanted to thank them both and give credit where it is due.

Poor customer service. Long hold times. No ody ever answers and goes to voicemail after holding 10 minutes. Received a nasty written letter stating my 02/2021 payment be er came out of my bank account so they are reversing the payment making my account now delinquent. I just received this letter yesterday and today is September 28th. I contacted my credit union in in fact the payment did not come out of my account. They never saw the water company try to deduct the payment for my account. It was never returned and never tried to hit my account. This is an issue on the water company side. I am perfectly fine with them pulling my payment from almost a year ago out of my account now but they want to stay in their letter that they will no longer automatic deduct my payment from my bank account. My water bill has been coming out of my bank account automatically for 15 years. Never a problem. I do not have problems paying my bills. But they want to threaten me that they can't automatic pay my account anymore and that they could charge me late fees. This is obviously an issue on their end if they're saying my February payment was posted but never deducted from my account. it would be nice to be able to talk to somebody to get a resolved but all you can do is leave a voicemail.

You should call the county to have the water meter turned off on our side and then, call a plumber to make the repair and call the county back to turn the water meter back on.
Call the City of Tampa for that alert
I am pretty sure small systems for the water Dept are tasked with the water quality for the communities in Hillsborough County. They use the hydrants to flush the water systems to clear the portable lines to stabilize the water quality in Hillsborough County.You can call the water Quality line at (813) 272 - 6680 and should be able to point to the right dept to assist you with any info you need on the hydrants in your area, I hope this helps.
