This LA Fitness has gone downhill substantially. They call this a “signature” LA, perhaps when it was still Urban Active Fitness. The pool has been closed for nearly a year. Many of the machines have ripped padding and worn out cables. The mens locker room is a complete cesspool. Many times the bathrooms have no soap. Paper towels are often not available. Also the gym in the summer feels like a sauna, I’m not sure if the ac is still “broke” or if they are just too cheap to use it. I go here for pure convenience to my home. Otherwise I’d look elsewhere.

Top notch fitness place seriously. Super big area with a lot of equipment. From cardio to hardcore pump training: everything is there. There is free parking and guest from the Springhill suites can enter for free. Rush hour is at 1930. After 2030 it becomes less packed. There is also a bar where you can buy protein shakes.

Decent value, but stuff is often left broken for months. I've been a member for almost a year and the pool has been out of service the entire time. One of the two giant ceiling fans broke last summer and is still broken. Two drinking fountains (servicing half of the main floor) were out of service for months. One of the stationary bikes of the kind I like to use has been broken the whole time I've been a member. Several weight machines have been "scheduled for service" for months as well. Don't get me wrong, you can get a workout done here (other than swimming). But it feels like they're just letting the place slowly fall apart instead of keeping up on maintenance. It definitely doesn't seem like a "signature club" to me. I suggest looking at other locations or other gyms.

The gym is about as good as any other LA fitness. They charge more though for being a signature location despite their pool being drained and unusable for well over a year now, they no longer give out the towels due to covid, and half their lights aren’t functional or just aren’t on. For the price you’re definitely paying a premium without the premium amenities. If you’re just going to the gym to get a workout in and go home then there’s cheaper options. If you don’t mind working out in the dark though it’s not so bad.

I know if you have UPMC for You you are able to join through Active & Fit Direct for $25 a month that's through Medicaid. You are also not limited to just LA Fitness as a choice. I also know people who have Medicare who are able to access LA Fitness for free as a part of their wellness program.
Probably because the Bakery Square franchise is LA Fitness 'Signature Club' which has more amenities than standard LA Fitness
It went down hill during the covid quarantine. I hope it picks up or I'm gone.
There are three lanes and it is first come first serve, I typically like to communicate with the others around me to arrange how to swim together in the lane, however you don't have to I just find that it is less awkward and it helps so no accidents or uncomfortable situations happen. The pool, in my opinion is hard to determine when is busy and when its not busy, not sure why but I always end up getting lucky. Good luck!
It does, but i have no experience with it unfortunately. A tour shouldnt be any issue
Yes
