A lot of things are wrong with this place. First, they are unprofessional, they need some serious training in customer service. Their competence is also questionable. Their pricing is fuzzy, if they don’t like the price that comes from the insurance, they delete it and type in what they think they should charge you. When they are fitting the frames, they don't use the measuring device all the optical stores use, instead, they tell you to look at their nose and they make some marking on the lenses with some crayons. When your new glasses arrive, the pricey brand name frame you got comes in a cheap Banana Republic case. They don't offer to adjust the frame and if you ask them to, they are visibly annoyed. The lens quality is also questionable. Their polycarbonate lenses have very small useful areas in the center of the lens. Outside that, they distort and are blurry. The cheap plastic lenses I got from Lenscrafters last year are far better quality. This is a second-grade outfit that charges premium prices.

I was just in there to get replacement frames for my lenses. I wear my glasses constantly to be able to see to live and work. The woman tells me you guys did not have my frame in stock. She states she was gonna check 2 stores NEVER once mentioning where these stores are and tells me she is gonna Slap them to ask if they have them. I sit and wait 20 minuted to get an answer like im not important or a customer. I wait patiently when she looks up and says we are all so busy. I proceed to ask her to call said stores. She calls one tells this woman on the other line that when she gets a chance can she look at the slap and tell her if they have them. Not my customer has been sitting here 20 minutes can you please tell me if you have these frames. While this is going on another customer looking for replacement frames like me is offered to pick out a new frame and she will remake his lenses to fit his new frame for 25.00, why wasn't that even a discussion especially when both those stores ( one in Clearwater one in Tampa) are no where near me. Why wouldn't she share info with me before having me sit and wait for the answer. She was not helpful to me. I have been a customer for years with me and my children. I guess its time to goto America's Best from now on. I came her after working 8 hrs starting at 3am do you really think I want to sit and wait hours to find out if one of the two stores had it. And by the way I had no way to get to those stores so she wasted my time.

I wrote a review this morning about getting the wrong colored frames in my eyeglass order. I want you to know that Kevin took care of my problem and went above and beyond to do so. I really appreciate them and would highly recommend them to anyone. I recant my other review and thank them so much for their kindness. It really means alot in this day and age. Thank you Kevin so much!

A comprehensive eye exam involves a series of comfortable and pain-free tests that offer a close-up look at your eye health and visual function. Between having all the tests performed and discussing the results with our eye doctor, you can expect your visit to last up to an hour.

What do I need to bring to an eye exam?

It’s essential to remember to bring your current eyeglasses or contact lenses prescription to your visit. If you also wear reading glasses, computer glasses, protective eyewear, or other visual aids, you may want to bring these as well. Because getting your pupils dilated can leave you sensitive to light for several hours following your appointment, it’s wise to bring sunglasses to the appointment.

How often are eye exams needed?

While it’s always a good idea to have an annual eye exam, how often an eye exam is needed depends on several factors. A patient’s age, family and personal medical histories, a previous eye injury, existing eye conditions, and environmental or occupational factors determine the recommended frequency. The American Optometric Association offers specific guidelines for both children and adults. As your trusted partner in care, our office will discuss the most appropriate schedule to protect the health of your eyes and the quality of your vision.

It depends on the frames you choose and the lenses you need. And also your insurance coverage.
