I have worked with Andrew several times over the last several years and he has always gone above and beyond for me. He has helped me more then he needed to or was required to and I am very grateful for everything he has done for me.

I recently needed help with a matter that is personal and was a malicious attack on me as a person. Designed to hurt my name and reputation. I hired Andrew as he works out of the same office as my Family Law Attorney. From the moment we met Andrew put both my wife and I at ease. He was a true advocate for both myself and my family. His communication with his client is quite frankly the best I have ever experienced. He was on the case and following his advice the false allegations that were claimed about me were quickly dismissed as such. Andrew would take his time just to call and make sure my family and I were ok. If he could only reach my wife due to work he would make the time to call me as well just to make sure I was up to speed and nothing was lost in translation. Andrew is a credit to his field. If you need help. If you need an advocate on your side who will keep in touch with you every step of the way Andrew is the attorney for you. Talk to him I'm sure you will be as satisfied as I was.

Questions & Answers

Should I talk to the police?

When the police suspect you of a crime, it is ALWAYS best not to answer any questions and to consult with an experienced criminal defense attorney first. Officers are trying to gather incriminating information against you and, anything you say, can be used against you later in court. As a Floridian and a United States citizen, you have certain rights guaranteed by both the Florida and Federal Constitution, including the right to remain silent and the right to an attorney, the well-known Miranda rights. In Florida, it is very important to invoke these rights at the earliest opportunity and it best to invoke both the right to remain silent and the right to an attorney at the same time unequivocally. We hope this helps. Prior to speaking with the police, it is extremely important to speak with an experienced defense attorney first. Please contact us today to schedule a free consultation.

How much does having a DUI in Florida cost?

George Hadley | Sep 4, 2020
The Law Office of J. Andrew Crawford, P.A. | Sep 4, 2020

The cost of a DUI in Florida depends on multiple different factors, including whether you have any previous DUI convictions, whether there was someone in your car under the age of 18, the results of any breath or blood test, and whether an accident was involved. Although the fine for a first-time DUI is $500-$1000, there are many more costs associated with a DUI conviction. Even for a first-time conviction, a person will usually have to pay for a mandatory DUI school, the costs of probation, and, if the judge allows it, a buy out 50 community service hours that are imposed. These costs can rise exponentially if there is a previous conviction, a high breath or blood alcohol level, or an accident resulting a property damage or bodily injury. In addition to the criminal penalties, a person convicted of a DUI will have to pay for significantly higher car insurance premiums. Attorneys fees depend on the complexity of the case.
