Everytime I have appointments in Watsonville I love stopping here to eat. I got a bento box and some sushi to go for later. I had teriyaki steak, tempura, and gyoza, and it came with rice, salad and soup. The sushi I ordered to go was so delicious. For the chicken teriyaki roll, I added cream cheese and it had grilled chicken topped with sweet sauce. Also, I got a Yammy Roll, which has tempura yam, and I, of course, added cream cheese. Everything was amazing!

If you find yourself in Watsonville, CA and love sushi, this place is legit. There’s a few options in the area, but I ended up here 3 times in one week as I vacationed here in a near by beach house. Yes, I tried others, but quickly realized Imura was the dominant. The nigiri and rolls always featured fresh tasting fish, never a questionable smell or flavor. The place was busy both day and evening which is a good sign that the locals agree, that this is the spot for sushi. The decor is unpretentious and gives you the hometown feels. I chose the “spicy heaven” as my main roll and always accompanied it with a mix of salmon, tuna and shrimp nigiri. My daughter chose traditional salmon rolls, avocado/salmon rolls and nigiri. Each visit was consistent in quality of fish. Also consistent was the service. Service was excellent! Never did I feel i had to wait for drink refills or check-ins, but equally never “bugged” overly by staff. Prices are also on par. They charge what you’d expect for a loaded roll and for a traditional roll. Some places, not just locally but everywhere, are pushing roll prices into the obscene range of $20/roll; this place does not. Prices are perfect.

Incredible!!! We both ate so good. One a vegetarian the other a fish eater. Soooo delicious. The food was Tony’s within 7 minutes or so and fair prices too. Loved it!

Good sushi at a decent price. Soy sauce was very watery and spicy Tina is a little too mushy. I'd give 4.5 stars

They have no indoor or outdoor dining due to space, but that is fine because their carry out is easily eaten out of. They have you order while wearing a mask and then ask what vehicle you're in so they can bring it out to you when it's ready. The staff is super helpful and friendly.
I'd say $50 to start with, $65-80 for the WHOLE Imura experience
Do you do party platters of mixed sushi?
