Similar to a previous customer/posting, my interaction with Susy was quite unprofessional and rude on her end. Leading up to the event we went back and forth about the duration and booking of the artists. After initially planning for one artist to split time between balloons and face painting across three hours, we settled on 1 1/2 hours with two artists. The rate kept changing and was inconsistent by a significant amount which should have been an initial red flag for me. Initially she had charged a $30 travel fee and after deciding on 2 artists she stated I would have to pay 2 travel fees. I accepted that agreement but was disappointed to be charged so much for travel when she and the second artist, HER SON arrived in the SAME CAR. While I understand peoples expenses these days- this was unnecessary and lacked ethics in my opinion. On the morning of the party, which she had previously been told is outdoors, Suzy texted DEMANDING that the artists have somewhere indoors to work due to the weather. Consistent with the rest of the interactions- she did not ask if it was possible she DEMANDED an indoor space. The balloon work and face painting themselves were great. They got through the kids and the artwork was fine. However when it was time for payment Susy approached me in the middle of the piñata and told me to pay her as she needed to leave. I asked her if I could pay her tonight and she stated she would not leave without payment. I asked her for a few minutes until the piñata was done and she turned to me and said that I’m being charge $41 for her time as she waits and told me she has another party to get to. I told her that she could go and I will electronically pay her. She insisted on waiting or payment. Again the entire exchange was quite unnecessary and less than I would have expected from a Professional company. Furthermore, when presented with payment Susy would not accept a card and was quite belligerent with me for not having had cash on hand and stated that it was on her website that she does not accept debit/credit. She told me that “in 15 years I’ve never had anyone not prepared for payment.” What’s absurd about is that she was OFFERED payment but would/could not accept a debit card. Which in an of itself can be worked through there are many options for payment but her attitude and rudeness were startling. She also started to tell me about how her daughter texted that she was vomiting. This seems consistent with the family emergency she had that a previous reviewer spoke about- which I can not confirm but certainly question. Further, when she was presented with cash payment (which I had to borrow from a family member due to Suzy’s inability to accept a card payment) she insisted that she would not write a receipt until she arrived home that night. She INSISTED on not providing a receipt for cash payment people!!! Absolutely absurd and I strongly recommend not to use this company due to the owners lack of professionalism, questionable ethics on multiple grounds, and rude attitude. Find another vendor!
