Pros-intake and initial questions were well-done with a nice mix of personal interaction and fact gathering. The booster shot injection was very smooth with no issues, in fact I barely felt it. Also, very good monitoring process, efficient monitoring and check-out as well as scheduling. Also appreciated the offer of drinks and snacks. Cons-had to wait 20 minutes past my appointment time and watch people arriving after me get taken and leave before I went back. The blood draw did not go well-I got stuck twice. Although I sometimes am a difficult draw, I rarely, if ever, have had to be stuck twice. On previous visits I also have had to wait and had an issue with the blood draw so these two areas need improvement, in my opinion. Otherwise it is very good.

When the media reported that covid vaccine manufacturers were having difficulty recruiting Latino volunteers, I called up Wake Research to see how I could help and Marsha the study coordinator welcomed me with open arms. And once I was enrolled in the study, Dr. Shikha explained everything thoroughly, and yet, still in a concise, efficient manner. In fact, all of the staff with whom I've interacted, have been fantastic, and nothing short of professional! I would definitely consider joining any future studies for which I qualify.
