I was a recent case manager here and was FIRED by the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR BRACE BOONE!! I brought in personal donations of shoes for the women . He took them from the dontantion room and stored them in his office !! I retrieved the shoes from his office and gave them to the women ! He asked me to question a young woman about why one of the women had the shoes on and wanted to know where they came from . I stated that I gave the shoes to the young woman and he told me this wasn't the place for me and told me to leave the keys ! He fired me then stated that I was quitting was not true ! He is thief and a liar !!! Do not come to this place !!!

There is a comment left by a Randall Jeffers not far down about a Brace Boone stealing donation items for personal gain that are donated to the womens center. After speaking with someone who has worked at the center and donated items of value, the items shortly after being placed in the donation area were mysteriously found in his office placed to the side, when they originally were intended for a specific homeless woman of the center. After being confronted on why the items were taken for his own personal gain he retaliated by firing the employee. Imagine how vile you have to be to take items donated to those of the less fortunate when you live in a multi-story home and live quite comfortably. I wouldn’t suggest donating here.

I have been supporting the center since last March. I find the volunteers to be super nice, patient and appreciate what I can bring to them. So far, I have donated during Breast Cancer month - gift bags with items the ladies can use. When I handed them out they were so happy. Today I returned with 30 gift bags with cards for Valentines day. I am blessed and love to help others. I also brought coats, small carry on case I did not need. Please try and help whether by donations of clothing etc or cash.

I believe they are accepting all donations. Best to bring by during normal business hours.
Yes for sure. They welcome women and children. That's what the womens center is for.
We don’t have any place to store furniture. With Love From Jesus takes all donations and gives back to the community at no charge for those in need.
Yes all of the above. Additional needs for anyone able to donate would be coats, scarves, hats, hand warmers, under pants, bras, belts, purses, back packs, blankets, sleeping bags, personal size toiletries. Thanks so much!
Yes, they welcome all these and more. Anything and everything is greatly appreciated here by all the women in need.
The Women's Center gladly take donations anytime. Anything is welcome. I'm actually a client and I'm grateful for all I've received from them. They are a great bunch of people. My children are grown but there are others that will appreciate the gesture of kindness.
Yes they do.
Yes they accept clothing, food also. They currently don't have a stove and depend on food donations to feed the women daily.
They have new hours. They open at 8am close at 7pm m-f weekend hrs are 9am to 5 pm. Clothing is greatly appreciated 👍😊.
Yes, the women's center of wake county gladly takes all the items you mentioned ms. Holmes
I believe that they do.
We take women’s clothing, shoes/boots, coats, hats, scarves, gloves, bras, underpants, belts, purses, backpacks, mini size toiletries, sleeping bags, blankets, towels, wash clothes. Thank you for partnering with us!
Anyone homeless may receive services. Living in a car is considered homeless. An intake where you meet with a case manager will help access your individual needs. There is no time limit on how long a client receives services.
We open at 8am and close at 7pm Mon. Thru Fri. Weekend hours are 8am to 4pm. Typically we suggest drop off hours between 10am and 3pm because of staffing. Please stop by our front desk when dropping off donations, as there may not be anyone around the back of the building to receive donations. Thank so much!
Yes we take food and clothing donations. Thank you!
We are not an overnight shelter. We are a day shelter for homeless women. Healing Transitions and Helen Wright Center are emergency overnight shelters with limited beds. Healing Transitions has a long term program dedicated to recovery from drugs and alcohol that is separate from the emergency overnight shelter.
They can help you with several resources however, they do not provide overnight shelter to sleep in. They have food and coffee...and a clothing closet
I recently asked this. They do not. But the Raleigh Rescue Mission services children, as well, so they might really appreciate them!
I am sure they will make great use of what you contribute. This a wonderful organization.
I don't work there, but I do make regular donations. I'm sure they would appreciate the masks from you!
This place and these people the run it is no No no no no no no no no no good at all everything in here is Broke ONLY one bathroom and 2 shower 18 ladies ????? Now you tell me what up
Yes. But when I went a few weeks ago, the drop off hours were cut back to 9:30 am-12:30pm Mon-Fri.
You have to call and see how many women are in need at the moment. They do not have a full kitchen last time I checked, so the food will have to be pre- made mostly. I have seen kids help serve food.
No but they can tell her where to go.
Drive around the back under the overhang. You can leave them right inside the back door, next to the elevator.
Yes, the Salvation Army. It's on Capital Blvd. Also, the Raleigh Rescue Mission.
I'm not sure about this but I'll ask today and let you know asap.
