I needed to make an appointment for my dog who was due for annual exam/ bloods and finally (and reluctantly) decided to break up my vet in Garden Grove which I’d put off long enough. I spent several hours comparing websites, reading reviews, etc. I decided to make an appt here because the office is close to me, they take appointments, and because the owner defended his staff in a reply in these reviews and I appreciate & respect that. ]The customer isn’t always right—I know this from personal experience-plus we all know many online reviews are bogus.] The team here seems lovely, like they care about animals & what they’re doing, and are happy doing their work. I got in right away and liked the vet I saw a lot-Dr. Alyssa. Price seem fair—a bit higher than my old place but that’s on me and my budget. I’ll make it work for peace of mind and peaceful environment.

What I love most about this place is the option of how to handle an appointment from the start. You can choose, and prices are given upfront, if you want to do off your pet and get a call later from the vet (cheapest), wait in your car while your pet is taken inside for all their assessments (+$10), or schedule an exact time to be in the room with your pet and the vet (+ another $10). These options allow you to plan your visit to the best of your availability.

This place doesn't care how dirty it gets outside thier office. Zero regard for the community and people that live here. A homeless made a fire and still the Doctor hasn't taken the time to clean up. I guess it's our problem. If the doctor or owner is reading this please clean outside your office.

Hi LaRon, Thank you for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, we don't perform ear cropping at Pine Animal Hospital. We recommend reaching out to Rose City Veterinary Hospital in Pasadena at (626) 796-8387. Regards, Doctor's & Staff of Pine Animal Hospital

I think your first visit is actually free or discounted. That's not including meds etc .

I would call first, not sure if they examine all animals or just cats and dogs. They have a free exam with a $50 service on their Yelp page.

My cat needs a wellness ck up, hasn’t quite been himself. How much do you charge for a wellness ck up w/ possible blood work?

Hi Deborah. Thank you for reaching out. Our exam fee is $52. We would quote you the cost of bloodwork after the exam because it would be tailored by the doctor specifically to your cats' needs based on the history and exam. I hope this helps. Feel free to call or email us anytime.

I know Pine Animal Hospital very well and Dr. Steve is the best. If you call the receptionists they should be able to give you a rough breakdown of the first visit plus the first round of shots.
