I was very skeptical about brining my 3 year old daughter here. I thought how can I manage to have her wait in the car for 4-6 hours? Also, will they be able to help me since she does have special needs - will they be patient, etc. Well, today I brought her in since it was my only choice left for her to have her vision checked. Her appt. was at 10am. We checked in and received paperwork to fill out in the car, and once filled out we took it back to the front desk. Within minutes we got called to go in. She (the nurse) was very patient and knowledgeable. My daughter’s eyes were dilated and we were told it took 40 minutes for the eye drops to fully do the job. After waiting for about an hour we got called again to be seen by one of the doctors. She was also very polite, patient, and knowledgeable. She even let my daughter watch videos on her phone and gave her a few breaks in between. My daughter was not happy, in fact she was hitting herself, screaming, kicking, you name it! She didn’t give up on her. Then, right away we saw another doctor. Once you see the first doctor you wait about 2 hours before you see a second doctor is what I was told. Since my daughter didn’t have a huge problem, in fact, there was no vision loss detected, the second doctor was able to come in a bit faster than usual and basically discharge her. We were here only for 3 hours total. The staff and providers were all sooooo friendly. Yes, the wait can be long but with snacks and toys/iPads, the wait is manageable. It’s worth it because the doctors seemed very knowledgeable and patient.

I waited to 2 hours to see the eye doctor then had to wait again another couple of hours and now I'm waiting again. Don't come here! It's too long of a wait. I'd advise go somewhere else basically been here since 10:15 this morning.

At first I was skeptical of a place with 2.5 stars, as anybody would be. As I read the reviews, most of the negative review was about the wait time and the staff bedside manners. I guess I was lucky, I didn’t experience any of that. I filled out paperwork at home (made filing paperwork super easy and cut down your wait time), made small talk and was polite with the front desk and in return, they were nice and polite with me. I was made aware there would be a wait time (understandably, they’re dealing with youngsters; so it takes time), so I prepared my daughter and myself with snacks and entertainment while we waited (rather wait in my car than a stuffy wait room). With them calling me in every time they’re ready to see my daughter, made the wait time went by faster. From the lady checking us to the doctors being incredible nice and made my daughter not afraid, BRAVO. Seriously, don’t go in demanding and expecting things; just be polite and patient, you’ll be surprised, at least I was. Oh for the 4 stars instead of 5, it was the 1hr 10 min drive for us; driving the 10 🙄

I'm not happy with nurses but the doctor is wonderful. I have a son that has albinism in his eyes and this doctor had taken care of him since he was born. You have to take drinks, snacks and lunch. It will take a long time. Your child's eyes will be dilated. The front office are not nice people but your doctor is. He's worth it.
