The dental staff there are awesome, it’s the people that handle the billing that made this a bad experience. I had a crown put on about 2 years and it suddenly broke. I went into the office and they said my insurance wouldn’t cover it because the broken crown was self inflicted. I tried to explain that the tooth broke from the backside so there was no way it could have been self inflicted. She sat there and pretty much said the x-rays don’t lie. I went ahead and paid for the new crown out of pocket since I couldn’t be walking around with a missing tooth. I reached out to my insurance and they advised me that the dental office took advantage of me because they never even tried to bill the insurance company first. Basically they never gave the insurance company the chance to make a decision wether they were going to cover the broken crown or not, instead they just billed me and assumed they wouldn’t cover it. This matter is yet to be resolved.

Normally I have good experiences at NewPort Dental, but this visit was disappointing. Everyone is still friendly and nice, but when I went in for tooth pain from my root canal tooth, the dentist said the endodontist who done the treatment didn’t do it right or my root canal tooth is reinfected. I thought they would’ve treated me there since I got the treatment done at this location, but they’re having me call the endodonist’s new office location, because he doesn’t work at this location anymore, so he can redo my root canal treatment. To me it seems like they’re either lazy or don’t want to fix this problem. If the guy did mess up on my root canal, why would I want to go back to him.

From the person who answered the phone to schedule my appointment to all of the people I interacted with throughout my visit ALL showed kindness and care. I felt welcomed and respected. I was able to schedule all of my visits for days and times that worked around my work schedule.

Very friendly and helpful. I wasn't sure about my benefits and a receptionist found out and let me schedule another appointment when I couldn't afford fillings at the time. The person cleaning my teeth was very considerate, let me take a break if I need to, and kept asking if I was okay. I'm going back for my fillings in 2 weeks.
