Giving 5 stars even though they gave me a coffee so hot I had to wait over half an hour to be able to drink it. I think that's just an American habit though. The 5 stars is because despite that the breads and breakfast biscuits at this place as amazing and the salsa verde goes perfectly with it.

Mexican hot chocolate and champurrado are the best! As well as guava and cheese croissants. Great ambiance, so grateful for this neighborhood Cafe.

Okay I absolutely love 💕 this location. It is great to sit and have a Mexican coffee, a pastry, and read a book. The staff are so amazing and I have never had a pastry I didn’t like- so fresh and delicious. The coffee is phenomenal! I am recommending this bakery to all my friends🙌

Wow! The pastries are authentic and delicious! If you’re looking for a quant but cozy coffee shop in Santa Monica, THIS IS IT! Morning beverages with a Mexican twist, along with great pastries to fit the part. The Vegan pan dulce was outstanding. I ordered a mollete and the beans were seasoned just right, the cheese added that special zing it was missing! The cake display looked so good I had to take more things home. The staff was delightful but I would recommend adding a tip option for card transactions, they do an amazing job and I would have loved to reward them a little.

Hello! Mask required and sanitize stations through our stores. Also only a few amount of people allowed at a time and outside/ indoor dining is closed at the moment. We have contactless option: online ordering at ordermonarca.com with store, curbside or delivery option. :)
