A beginner to moderate hiking trail nestled in among the Pleasant Valley Sunday burbs. Well traversed so be sure to greet your fellow hikers. Worth the view of NYC at the beginning.

Beautiful views nice 911 monuments , display of names and local residents that were lost on 9/11. It is tastefully displayed with space to reflect. Beautiful skylines

Was here tonight for the 20th Anniversary of the 911 attacks. What a beautiful tribute here at the overlook. So many flags and the orchestra really made the tribute that much more special. There was so many people but lots of potential parking spots. Porta potties on site as well. Well done to everyone involved in making this happen. We will never forget.

Yes. Make sure your with a friend cause it will be dark.
Yes, you can ride your bike throughout the park but there are also trails that go through the woods to the street
You can take your dog to Eagle Rock but it must be on a leash.
Sure
I do not think so. Maybe a small umbrella but I do not believe tents are allowed.
No, you just have to try and get there early so you can try and find the perfect place or spot.
Yes .
There are roads for cars, but this wouldn't be an ideal place to bring an ATV or dirt bike.
You can walk around. Take pictures. You can take a blanket & sit in the grassy area.
I think as long as you're respectful, no one will mind. I'm not sure if it's in violation of any ordnances, as it is a county park. There's also Highlawn Pavilion in the immediate area, which has a full bar.

Check for a permit. It may be a few dollars. Cost efficient.
If horse is a patriotic horse and can see the skyline, it is allowed!
If you're driving in no trail to follow. You can see the city from the parking lot
They have the grills, check the website!
'Reservation' is also a word used to describe an area that has been blocked from developement. It is a 'reserved' greenbelt that must stay in a natural state except a road in/out, walking trails and perhaps playground areas. This is case with The South Mountain Reservation.
