Tradition is going to save Holy Mother Church. St. Vitus is the place in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley for an authentic Traditional Catholic experience. I highly recommend it!!!!!

Most women veil or wear hats, but its not required. As long as clothing is not revealing, no one would say anything about pants. Men usually wear collared shirts and ties with a few in suits.
Definitely come a bit earlier on Sundays. The church gets pretty packed by the time the High Mass starts. (The one I recommend going to for the first time.) As for dress, a nicer shirt and set of trousers should be perfect! :D
The 9AM and 11AM are "High Masses", so with full solemnity. I'm afraid you would have to go to the 7:30AM or the 5PM Low Masses on Sundays for there to be no incense. During the week most Masses are Low, save on Holy Days where there's normally at least one High. Hope this helps! Alternatively, there's usually seating in the choir room during the 9AM. You could probably escape the incense back there.
We always have Epiphany water available inside the church, just bring in a small container. If you stay after Mass at the communion rail a priest will bless your container of salt or your rosary or any other religious item you want blessed. Just be patient.
Our parish is staffed by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) who were invited here in 2014 by Archbishop Gomez especially to serve people who desire the sacraments according to the 1962 rites in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles (not just the traditional Latin Mass, but also Baptism, Penance, Marriage, Last Rites, and preparation for Confirmation.) Archbishop Gomez consecrated our parish in 2018, and he has not placed any restrictions on the Masses (or any other sacraments) offered here according to the 1962 liturgical books. Last week the FSSP released a decree by Pope Francis that he grants its members the faculties to carry out the sacraments and other sacred rites, pray the Divine Office, etc. according to the liturgical books from 1962.
Sorry so late, but a nice dress. Modest, below the knee and veil. I wear long skirts or mid calf, lite sweater and a veil 👰. Things coveted are sacred, we are sacred.
