I used to be a member of a United Financial Credit Union. This corporation bought them out and closed my 20 year old credit card due to one period of unemployment and missed payment. Note they were not easy to work with. I paid their credit card balance and do not wish this company on any one else. This company will treat you like a criminal is if you are past due and ruin your credit. They are not your typical credit union, steer away.

This place doesn’t deserve even 1 star. My father has passed and we are trying to take care of everything. I have emailed Alexandra S. several times with no response, my mom has called her and she won’t return calls. They place us on hold for an extremely long amounts of time. The staff is rude. My parents have been members of this bank before it even became who it now. A little compassion goes along way in a time lime this.

I'm going to start off by saying I did not have the best first experience using this credit union. I had posted a negative review and I am happy to say, they went over and beyond to keep my business. I not only continued my business with the credit union, I opened up another account and will continue to give them my business. When a business makes the effort to work on the negative and turn them around, they win me over. The Brea manager Michelle is so professional and really worked through my issue with me and took the time to hear what I had to say. I thank her for that! I look forward to going in now to make my payment just so I can say hi!

I cancel my account in chase five years ago and came over here to established my financial and credit situation for the best and I have and they do provide friendly service but today some underwriter decided to deny my personal loan of $3500 not because of my credit score(749), job status or lack of funds in my account($9,889 ) it was because of whatever it said in a pay stub. so now I am reconsidering of having an account here If they are not going to help me in any sort way like they promote on their website well I am going back to chase or commute to another credit union of another town instead of the credit union southern California of Whittier where I lived.

Yes, if you are a Member of Credit Union of Southern California we can utilize other methods for identifying you. However, if you belong to a different credit union and looking to utilize our Shared Branching services, you will need to have either an unexpired state I.D. or a U.S. Passport in order for us to provide services.
