I cannot say enough about this facility and its employees. They helped me with an abandoned litter of newborn kittens when multiple organizations wouldn't even return my call. They gave advice on how to take care of the kittens and keep them alive, they helped me find a foster and were so happy and helpful through the whole process. Seeing the santuary they have for senior cats is impressive and heartwarming. The whole experience makes me want to support their programs financially and possibly even foster myself. A great group of people who care about animals like I do. JENNY!! you're amazing, thank you so much! She went above and beyond for me and the kittens. If you want to donate to a good cause, this is one of them. :) Please have your cats spayed and neutered!!

This place is amazing. The staff was super helpful and friendly. You could tell that the people working there genuinely love cats and take good care of them. Each cat that resides here gets a medical check up 1x per week and they make sure that all of their shots are updated. The place is clean and well kept. All the cats there seem to be happy and at peace in their environment. I love the fact that the staff is patient and allows you to take your time when deciding which cat you would like to adopt. I’m so glad we decided to adopt from this place. Seems to have a good cause and intension of helping animals. Highly recommend if you are a person that is looking to adopt and not shop for a cat. 🐱

My mother had a cat that passed away early last year (1/2016); she misses her very much (understandably) but finally decided it is time now (4/2017) to get another cat. On a recommendation from friends, we checked out the National Cat Protection Society location in Newport Beach. We went in and they gave us so much great information about what they do. They really do wonderful things for cats, including helping feral cats become friendly enough to be adopted, taking in cats that need a new home, a cat retirement home, and so much more. Anything I write cannot do justice to what you come away with after being there, especially if you like cats. The staff is so patient with people looking for cats and they have lots of info about each cat, their history, likes, etc. My mother adopted a cat that seems like a great match for both of them. If you are a cat lover, I highly recommend Natcat in Huntington Beach!

I adopted my first kitty "Rose" a 4 month old female Orange Tabby from here today. Only 1 word comes to my mind to describe this place. Excellence. They are truly so friendly and kind and helpful and easy to talk too. Great communication = Great service and an amazing group of staff that truly care and love what they do. Rose has only been with us for a couple hours but she's super playful and affectionate and loves to play! Would recommend 10 / 10, Amazing place.

I found a box in my garage with three kittens. the mom is still with them. They are approximately 1-2 weeks old. What can I do with them? Will you take them?

Hi Larry, Please give us a call at 949-650-1232 to provide more information about the kittens or get helpful resources if it turns out we can't take them. Thank you, -NatCat

Do you have any adoptable kittens?

Musicology Temecula | Sep 4, 2020
National Cat Protection Society | Sep 4, 2020

We do! Many of them are with their foster families right now, but you can fill out our adoption form at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd_TMzdQrwuzEVvaroYqhoYrr-adTjnCXdnELgizOum9GliKQ/viewform and schedule an appointment at 949-650-1232 to make sure you swoop one up as soon as he/she's available for adoption (considering they go fast!). We hope to see you soon.

I'm so sorry, our shelter is currently at capacity - but you can call us at (949) 650-1232 to be placed on our waiting list. You can also visit www.nokillnetwork.org to view an entire list of no-kill shelters, and then send the ones near you a mass email with pictures and information about the cats. Hope that helps. -NatCat
