I enjoyed this place very much. I would like to thank all who are responsible for taking care of all the historical aircrafts found at this place. Thank you!

B52 G/H Models - Crew Chief (1976 - 1986) Great assignment and experience. Loved the area and the local people as well as those with whom I served.

More affordable than the Boeing Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA, and I left just as satisfied. If you take into account this is supported by volunteers and donations, as opposed to a corporation with $95 billion in revenue, it's darn impressive.

I was stationed there with the U.S.Air Force 84th Fighter Interceptor Squadron from November 1977, until February 1981!! Loved the area and the people of Atwater and Merced!! Enjoyed coming back to the museum and seeing all the aircraft, and reminiscing!!!

Castle Air Museum doesn't have a homeless shelter, but it does have an RV park
$20 for adult admission. $15 for seniors, active duty, veterans, and teens(13-17). $10 for children(6-12). Children under the age if 6 get in free. The presidential aircraft(vc-9) is open only on weekends for tour for an additional $10 per person. The museum is open 9AM-4PM but the last admission to go out to see the planes is at 3:15PM. You can't go inside any of the planes besides the vc-9 on weekends, but the museum does put on what's called Open Cockpit Day where they open around 30-35 of the aircraft. They do Open Cockpit Day twice a year and I believe the next one is May 30th 2022. The same prices go for that day as well. Hope I helped
Yes there is. In the old base hospital
The base was renamed in 1948 to honor Brigadier (one star) General Frederick Castle who was killed in a bombing mission during WWll.
Call Randolph AFB
Yes, at the museum.
