This is my favorite Y7 location to practice at since it has the most spacious studio. The instructors are a mixed bag: some give plenty of opportunity for a challenge, others can be frustratingly relaxed. Some keep the room nice and toasty (which to me is the main draw of in-person classes), others will literally turn the fan on and open the windows for the last third of class. I wish the experience was more consistent so I could know what I’m getting into when trying a new instructor, but when I do find someone I like I’m glad to keep coming back.

I know it's not for everybody, but I love y7 williamsburg! It's a different approach to practicing vinyasa. I enjoy the challenge of a heated, dark room. Everyone there is nice and welcoming and have been incredibly accommodating and understanding. The teachers are super knowledgeable, strong, and offer creative sequences. Sarah H and Phil are my favorites! I follow the schedule according to when they are teaching. I appreciate the strict late policy, personally. I feel comfortable and settled once the doors close.

I've loved being a Y7 member for the past ~6 months. The instructors are really welcoming and you can tell, incredibly well-trained. Not just physically, but spiritually with respect to the practice. While the class can be categorized as fast pace, Y7 instructors truly care about alignment and safety, which isn't always the case in workouts of this kind. I appreciate that they recommend rest when needed, and never shame you for doing so, and they mention that off the bat, to make the space inclusive for those new to the practice. The ONLY reason I'm giving 4 stars rather than 5 isn't due to customer satisfaction with the studio, but due to their pricing model. As a member, I pay $170+ a monthly, normal for a monthly membership in NYC. That said, if I don't cancel my booking for a class 12 hours prior to said class, I get charged $10 incrementally. I understand this billing model for non-members, but as a member, aren't I already paying for the class, regardless if I go or not? 12 hours in advance is insane.. maybe lessen that for members to 3 hours if you can't wipe out the late-cancel feel totally?

Tried this studio through ClassPass. Overall good experience. I’d give it 3.5 stars if I could. Forewarning though, mats and towels are available for an additional charge even for first timers. There is a free water fountain/dispenser in the studio which is great. Studio was clean and modern. Yoga flow was unique and consisted of 3 reps of 3 rounds of flow sequences with each rep getting progressively faster. Music was 👌, instructor was pretty hands off and offered no individualized form correction. Front desk staff was ok. If you are looking for a yoga workout vs. a relaxing session this is it.

Hey Samantha, The class is full, but there is a chance that you'll still be able to get into class. We'd recommend showing up to the studio and waiting it out. If spots become available through late-cancels or no-shows you'll be able to take those spots 2 mins before class begins. Best of luck and see you on the mat soon. Namaste, Y7 Studio
