This is a great gym! Lots of well maintained, clean equipment, some of the employees are exceptional, and the monthly/yearly fees are fair. HOWEVER, canceling or pausing your membership requires a signed letter via certified mail OR an in-person visit to the gym. I understand the game of making it inconvenient to cancel (I thought the lack of web/app based cancellation was bad enough) but this is another level. Let me know when you’ve changed this policy and I’ll add 2 stars. Update: When you DO visit in person to cancel your membership, they “require 30 days notice” and will charge you for another full month after the month in which you cancel. I know gyms being scummy is old news but this is a new low.

I absolutely cannot believe these people are still in business with the way they treat their customers. Worst experience I've ever had with any business. They still charged me for whole 2 months and an annual fee when I cancelled the membership without even going for a week. This feels like robbery and business like this still exists to this day is just sad. Absolutely wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

The gym itself is great, just be very wary of buying a membership. I had a year membership set up and at the end of the year, moved to another state. They kept charging my account despite canceling in person. When I called to dispute the charges I was told I needed to come in again to cancel. When I explained I already did this, I was told there was nothing they could do unless I came in from 700 miles away to recancel in person. When I disputed the charges at my credit card company, they sent 6 months worth of charges to collections. No amount of phone calls or conversations or complaints will allow you to cancel your membership. Absolutely terrible experience.

I was on a month to month billing cycle my account number is 730106755. I stated to the guy at the front desk I wanted to cancel 4 months ago because I was moving. He then proceeded to say that we are all set after the final payment went through for the month we were already in. The gym is okay but now they keep auto drafting my card. Can someone at crunch fitness please contact me by email so I can get this resolved I do not live in the area anymore. Frustrating that they keep charging me and I literally am to far away from the gym to go in and cancel the membership. Then their billing department proceeded to call me twice a 6-7 days a week until i completed the last month payment they were so worried about? IF IM ON A MONTH TO MONTH MEMBERSHIP WOULDNT YOU CANCEL IT AFTER ONE MISSED PAYMENT! I will erase this review after we get this membership removed.
