a friend gave us some beef jerky and pork jerky as a gift. the beef jerky was good, but it was labeled fruit jerky (what my friend bought), but was actually spicy. we did not notice until we opened the bag out of town. the pork jerky was tough/difficult to bite/hurt my teeth, but flavor was very good.
