I'm reticent to leave bad reviews as can be seen on my Google profile. I usually don't want to dwell on a less than great experience but feel it might be helpful to prospective wig buyers. I buy wigs from all over the world at every price point. I was intrigued by The Wig Fairy so I placed a custom order. Their service in the beginning was impressive and I admit I was swept away by the smoke and mirrors of it all. Custom consultations! Beautiful salon in a prestigious location! Great marketing! So many styles to choose from! The wig seemed expensive for the grade of hair i knew I was getting, but thought it must be worth it. I paid around $3200. After paying, it was much harder to get the same level of attentiveness shown before I bought it. That's ok though, I chalked it up to them being busier. They convinced me that I would be much better off with a "freedom cap" for an additional price. I hadn't heard of one before but seeing as I was paying over $3000 already, thought I'd give it a try. I cannot describe the disappointment when I received the wig. The packaging was beautiful but that's about where the positive aspects stopped. I've attached a picture of the freedom cap. That is how it arrived, out of the box. The stitches coming undone. The hair was so thin you could see the wefts through the hair at the back. The custom color I had paid for was a strange peach color at the root area. I thought I can remove this weird freedom cap and color the roots properly myself but what I couldn't fix was the thin and overly processed hair. Even wigs at half the cost had better quality hair and a lot more of it. I contacted The Wig Fairy and they admitted it was not up to par so I give the one star for them giving me a full refund. They then said they wouldn't be able to create the kind of wig I was looking for. Not sure what that means as I do not think I was looking for something unusual ( long and blond with some rooting and lowlights) and they never mentioned it not being possible when they took my money and did the virtual consultation. Ladies, please look around at your options. There are much better wigs at lower prices or the same price will get you something spectacular. Try Milano, McKenna, Yaffi Kaminer ($$$ but an investment of a lifetime) Yaffa, Sayar or Lu's wigs.

I ordered a custom wig from the Wig Fairy. I received a call several months later to let me know the wig had arrived. I left a message for Stephanie to contact me because I had questions about the wig. I thought I had ordered a certain type of wig but I was told another type of wig was ordered. My desire was to simply confirm the order with Stephanie. However, I never received a call back from Stephanie. I called again and left a message but Stephanie did not return my call. I recently called again for a 3rd time and I believe the owner answered the phone. I explained what had happened and she assured me that Stephanie would call be back within the hour but once again, I never received a call from Stephanie. I am a customer.....my money is good but it is strange that the Wig Fairy treated me so poorly.

The experience of purchasing a wig from The Wig Fairy was nothing short of magical. I worked with Gina and she was amazing. Very responsive and knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions and provided the absolute best customer service and it was all done electronically. I received my wig and let me tell you she’s perfect in every sense of the word. I couldn’t recommend The Wig Fairy more. Best experience and the wig is phenomenal.
