This place is awesome! The owners are extremely helpful and caring about their customers. I recently decided I wanted to get into the saltwater aquarium hobby and one of the owners (who are brothers) took the time out to personally explain how everything works and what I need to get started, and even advised me to wait and maybe look up more information instead of pushing me to make a purchase! About a week into cycling my new tank, and I'm extremely satisfied with all of the help and support I've gotten from all of the employees here! This is also a great place to bring your kids and check out all of the fish and corals they have in the store, regardless of whether you have an aquarium. The other part of the store has some reptiles, etc. but the fish is definitely the main focus of this store. Check it out!
Max Reef
Good local fish store for fresh/saltwater hobbyist. They also carry nice selection of reptiles. Nice and friendly staff.
Lori
This place is kinda cool. Wide variety of insects to feed your reptile. Have a wide variety of geckos, breaded dragons and fish.
Jasmine
I would definitely consider this a more high-end fish and reptile shop, offering many freshwater and saltwater fish. They have a decent amount of reptiles but definitely have larger selection in the fish department. They also have a small dog area. They can provide everything that you would need to get started for both fish and reptiles. All sells are final, make sure that you research and know what your purchasing. The staff doesn't hover you, they'll check in with you when you first come in and then let you brows. as soon as you stand in the designated area for service, they are quickly there to guide you and answer questions for you or assist in retrieving your fish. Very nice location with beautiful fish and set ups. We enjoyed just looking around. Well be back for future purchases.

Yes they have Terrariums off all sizes
Yes. I have seen them in stock on a couple occasions. Call them up before you head over to make sure though as they have a very high turnover on all products, particularly livestock.
Yes! They also carry dubia roaches and hornworms which are way better for beardies than crickets are!
Yep they do! Great place, good stock and people!
They usually have a couple
Call store for details! It's quick and easy!
I haven't seen any but that would be the place to order one if you could. They are very knowledgeable about each reptile.
Check their Facebook page. They're good at posting what feeders come in every day and how much they are.
Yes just give them a call they are always getting new cool stuff
Yes they will take your fish as a donation and sell it to someone else. You can always surrender your reptiles and fish to them and your snake food too
They do have live brine shrimp. I have bought some from them before.
Yes
Yes they have the puffer dog fish. At least they did when I was there! Appropriately named!
You would need to call them to find out what's current in the inventory. They don't always have everything in stock.
They usually have various types of floaters in stock, duckweed as well.
It's seasonal, you would call to know
Yes, you can surrender fish to the store
Always busy worth while to go in.
Yes they do. They typically have like 3 choices or so for floating plants
They have taken in fish before.
I wasn't looking for these fish specifically. I'd just give them a call.
Great place but workers are Rude some of them not all prices are expensive
I am not sure but I know their available fish change. Call ahead and ask regularly.
Call them and find out, last week they had most awsome juvenile panther grouper..he was hanging out on the front glass at the surface in right corner..
They have quite a variety of our scaly friends for purchase!
Yes they do have beautiful live plants for fish tanks and ponds.
I am not sure who sells mature dragons. If the people at aquarium depot don't know I would ask the serpentarium or try and wait until the next reptile expo. 🤷♀️
I've seen many reptiles being sold but it is best for you to visit the place yourself to check out that particular animal.
No
If not they can order
I believe they have terracotta tortoises I'd just call and check
They might because they have the iPad pay screen system thingy.
Give them call. They sometimes take in for trade some fish.
Yes
No they do not have that type of service. They will however answer any questions you might have about how to set up your tank.
Call reptile depot in Citrus Heights
Sorry, I don't work there. I can't answer your question.
I know they sell the sand & saltwater rock.
I don't think so.
Really depends on type. But they usually have some for 50 dollars or so. Common non exotic. Ask them if you have a certain species in mind
Not sure if they buy them, they certainly sell them on the reptile side. I believe they are a safe surrender site, if you just need to get rid of the snake.
When I was there, I would say that their fish generally didnt look very healthy and they didnt have a large selection. Their corals, however, looked great.
Your best bet would be to make a trip down there. The staff there is very knowledgeable, helpful and very polite. I'm sure that if they don't have what you're looking for, maybe either they can order it for you or at least point you in the right direction.
Degenerate Bunny they have all kinds of exo terra cages go check it out I love going there
Their main tortoises are sulcata, which grow huge, but most of the time they will have red foot tortoises or Russian tortoises, which grow to a relatively manageable size.
I give Puppy a swim in the tub with warm/hot water 1 or 2 times a week, she stays cleaner and it helps her sheds come off easier. It really helps to do it during their shed too. I do that for my ball pythons and sulcota tortoise too, the panther chameleons go in the shower with me.
Yes they do
Yes they do
Most of the time they would be happy to take them off your hands
Never seen them there myself. They do accept certain special requests/orders; head in and chat with the guys. At the very least, they may be able to point you in the right direction.
If the"gravel" is actually crushed coral it will only be good for African's or high PH fish. Same goes for any decorations that maybe coral
They have many types of wood and mosses. Wood selection/turnover is fair (every 2-3 weeks) and moss/plant selection/turnover is great (twice a week). Calling in prior to making your trip is your best bet. Though anytime you visit, there is usually a good selection of wood and moss.
Yes. They have a variety of Beta fish in many splendid colors. They also have everything you will need to keep them and feed them. It would be best to go down their and see what they have. If you have any questions their staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.
They have s wide range of animals and the staff is very helpful. It would be best to give them a call or go down there and speak with someone there.
Yes they do. Starting price i believe is 50 and goes up from there. They have starter packs too. A tank that comes with everything you would need to start taking care of your beardie :)
As far as I know they do. The reptile staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about their reptiles
I only purchase feeders for Ball Pythons, but on larger purchases they might- ask!
I have seen crawfish there also. I've seen some that were about 2 inches long. The employees there are very helpful and knowledgable.
They had one small flower horn cichlid earlier this week. I see them and long tip anemone there all the time *but agree with Anna* call to confirm. Also, they receive multiple shipments from many sources each and every week so the selection is constantly changing.
They are very knowledgeable and will answer questions. They carry both fresh and salt water fish.
